Who Am I?

Cathy/Cat 63 married 35 years to a career Army man (Retired 100% disabled 1SG)

Retired sales associate/reception. No children, a few dogs over the years, one at a time. Animal rescuer of anything that is put in our path. Volenteer various soup kitchens most memorable CASS in Phoenix. Lived in 7 states and retired in my favorite AZ. Love to knit, make bead gem jewelry, movies & stand up comedy. A dental injury changed my life a few years ago and now suffer with nerve pain. On-line shopping now a must, hence QVC even though I've shopped here for decades.

Dee 50/at end of Aug,married 25yrs tof a work -a- holic. No children, was (heartbrokenly) unable. Disabled, volunteered for senior centers in area. No friends, few family, and very lonely. Grew up in New York, long island, moved to Florida 20 yr ago in an rural area, not much going on here, nearest mall 45 min away. On line shopping is a way to purchase stylish clothing, makeup, purfume,..etc. so I truly do get it...Blessings

Do you have pets? What are your favorite movies? Sorry you are in an isolated area. I'm in an over 55 community and there are alot of people here and I am grateful to have friends but, like you I have no family.

I have visited Florida one time and loved it before I was married. There is a huge place for over 55 called The Villages in Florida. I heard my favorite comic talk about her parents who lived there and I looked it up on line and it is huge. Has it's own zip code like a city. It might be fun to look at sometime.

What are your favorite clothing lines?

Years ago when we were in Ohio I started writing here with a couple of different groups and really enjoyed it. I haven't done too much lately except try to rectify issues with goofed up orders...

Anyway, maybe one of us could start a daily thread and visit here. Let me know and if not, it is always a pleasure hearing a few kind words or suggestions.

I understand your point. Years ago I wrote back and forth with a group here and it was delightful! Some of us even spoke on the phone and I'm happy to say one of my favorite long distance friends (met here) made my life so much better. She passed away last year and I would never have known her if it wern't for the QVC boards.

Yes the Villages are about 11/2 hrs away and it is an extremely huge community, overwhelmingly. It's expensive to live there, and a lot of social activities are mentioned for residents only, oddly some of the nice restaurantsite there ask for your ""Villages ID""

I don't have one favorite designer, I'm all over depending on style and affordability.

I have only tried a few designers here like C. Wonder, Susan Graver and Joan Rivers caftans only.
