Go to any Independent Insurance agent that handles all types of insurance across the board. I'd get my phone book out and see whose closest

If she's losing her current coverage COBRA is available to her. She also should qualify for the insurance exchange. If she was on a plan but is losing coverage but currently working, she should be able to enroll outside of open enrollment through her works plan if she qualifies for one there otherwise. For example, a child being aged out of their parents plan but that qualifies for coverage through her own job, or if she's getting divorced and losing her spouses coverage.

CHIP is a wonderful program and all children are eligible unless they are eleigible for Medicaid. You can't be denied coverage because of a high income. The cost is determined by income and for some there is no cost.

Call for an application now. You will need proof of income... pay stubs are necessary and must be sent in with the application. Provide everything asked for, or the application will be returned to you and hold things up. Pre-x conditions are covered and there is no waiting list.

Your daughter might be elibible for COBRA. She should check with her employer. Her employer needs to have at least 20 employees on their health insurance to ba able to offer COBRA. Coverage on the exchange is available, cost is usually high depending on program and where you live. Don't wait too long and have her go without insurance. She should be able to pick up coverage and have it backdated to the date it expired.

She will receive a Certificate of Credible Coverage when her insurance expires. Save it. It might be needed to prove coverage so that there pre-x on new coverage. Insurance rules might be changing.
