Does anyone use/try Stitchfix?

It looks like a fun and interesting concept but I wonder how good they really are at giving you good styles that really do fit your shape and taste.

It looks like there are a lot of dissatisfied customers according to the reviews. Personally, I'd never use this kind of auto delivery plan for clothes. I have enough trouble finding what I like searching on my own ! (:

I have tried it several times but the clothes are pretty expensive. I have kept a few things I really liked.

It seems like a great concept but I can't see how they'd figure out great fits without alot of trial and error at the beginning. And I think it costs $20 each time they send you a box, although they apply it towards something you decide to buy IF you do buy something. Otherwise you are out the $20. That could get pricey if they never give you anything you want. And then I have no idea how much the products cost that they send you.

I have not tried any of these type "plans" but used to get emails from a blogger that subscribed to Stitchfix. I wish I could remember what her website was; with Windows 10 update, I lost a lot of the bloggers that I used to follow. Anyway, she would "model" items she received from Stitchfix and it was all I could do to not criticize the clothing in the "reply" area of her blog. I thought most of the clothes looked dowdy and really showed her muffin top in most everything that she thought was "wonderful." Of course, she was young and maybe just didn't know what or how clothing should fit. Even at her age, I doubt I would be allowing photos of me in those clothes to be taken much less publicized. I do think the commercials I see on t.v. show women who chose clothing much more wisely but then again, that is t.v.

I wrote about this a couple of times in the Fashion forum, so maybe you can do a search there.

My DD got me into this a while back, and I did about 7 or 8 fixes. They were spot on with all my sizes, but terrible-terrible with anything I specifically requested.

I specifically told them NO jeans, and every time they sent jeans! Sometimes the zippers would not work, overall quality was not great, the prices were overly high, they never had styles that I painstakingly spelled out that I liked or was looking for in the questionnaires & comments forms. Even if just a specific color I requested, they would send crazy prints & off colors.

However, everything was always packaged beautifully, and the fashion cards were nicely done.

I looked into this and also thought it was risky to lose $20 on every order if you found nothing you liked enough to buy. I think the pricing on items is in the $55 range and up but can't recall where I saw that. I would probably lose a lot of money due to poor fit on items.
