he has been readmitted to ICU because of infection concerns. this is a rough road for him and family.

I was so sorry to hear of this setback, esp. after all he has been through already. Sending prayers for complete recovery.

By the way, on my screen I can't see Yardie's post, just a blank outlined square. Anyone else having that problem?

This is so true. My MIL is adjusting to her new prosthetic after having her leg amputated as a result of an infection stemming from knee replacement surgery. She was in and out of the hospital for nearly two years after the initial surgery to fight infeciton. The good thing is that the infection in her leg had not spread in her body.

Prayers for Rep Scalise, his family and medical team at this time.

Unfortunately, until he's in rehab, it will be an uphill battle with surgeries and possible infections...I hope he's a tough cookie and can pull through...what a travesty.

Unbelievably, a man was arrested today for making a threat referring to the assassination attempts on Scalise and others. Mark Pritchard was at Senator Jeff Flake's office in Arizona. If you remember, Flake was one of the baseball players who ran out to help Scalise after he was shot.

Pritchard reportedly made violent threats today to Flake's staff, and said that whoever did the next assassination attempt would have "better aim".

Before this gets out of hand again, I sure hope that steps are being taken and security heightened for all of our relatively unprotected representatives of the people. By definition, their job requires them to go out into the public and interact.
