QVC Is Stingy

QVC has lowered the rate they refund on Mr. Rebates to 1%. Why even bother? They might as well suspend their membership since it's worth next to nothing. Another reason to comparison shop before buying.

Wow. That stinks. I believe when I first started using Mr Rebates it was 5 or 6%.

i have posted this numerous times, but will post again.

$15 off of a $100+ purchase

$35 off $200+ purchase

have to make sure you have a paypal account and access qvc via their link.

i have used it and it works......takes about 15-30 days to post in your paypal account. it is A LOT better than mr rebates and ebates right now.

I don't do much shopping here anymore, so savings aren't so relevant for me, but I've historically found QVC to be among the most chintzy retailers out there...

I use Ebates but did not know about using Mr. Rebates the way you are using it. I had lots of trouble in the past with them not giving me credit for purchases. I also use Retailmenot and it gives me coupons for other retailers.

i cannot answer this for sure. i have had my checking account linked to my paypal for years now. you MAY be able to link a credit card to your paypal? maybe someone else can answer this question?

Stingy is right!

Yesterday I went to Kohls and they had very nice t-tops for $7. Today I went to Penney's and bought a t top for $7. Now those are sales! QVC thinks a sale is $5 off or 5 easy pays for a clearance-priced tee of $29. Saw very nice tops on yesterdays Carolyns Clostet, but all the clearance tops were over $30. Didn't buy any. QVC is going to be selling only to people who can't get to a B&M store in the future. And now with a 1% Mr Rebates, another reason to shop AT a real store. I could get 4 tops for that price instead of 1 from QVC.

I recently bought shoes on Shoeline.Com and got a 10% rebate plus free shipping. Why would I buy from QVC instead?

When I see a national brand on the Q that I might be interested in, I go online to check pricing elsewhere. QVC is in business to make a profit; and, while it might be not only nice but a good business strategy to subscribe to a rebate company, they are not obligated to do so. I believe that convenience to those who do not shop outside of the home or have no national stores nearby is a major part of their business. I do not see it as stingy. I have often found better prices with free shipping. I also have found that colors and sizing are not always available in other places. It is just a matter of preference.

Yes, Top Cash Back is a rebate program just like Mr. Rebates where they send you actual money and there is also the option to transfer your money to designated gift cards of your choice which pay out more (bonuses) than just getting your money straight out. @IMW

I too have had my bank account linked to paypal for decades. That used to be the only option. Now my account gives me the option to use credit cards of my choice as well, I'd just have to add them. Paypal and Paypal Credit sort of merged a few years ago and it's one site that can be used multiple ways.
