Thank you Mistri, but I should have known better than to post that here. Fortunately, the mods deleted it quickly. The first three or four posts were from my "fans," who must have a siren set up to go off whenever I post.

@LilacTree I didn't see the replies. I'm sorry you feel like you can't post stuff like that here.

I did get a chuckle from the idea of people having a siren set to go off when you post though.

My interest in posting on this particular forum has been dying a slow death. But when I heard the sirens go off, I knew I was in the right place.

I was inspired to post after reading portions of your posts on the thread about mental health and hate crimes. I had just found out about my niece two days ago and it is still very raw. I should have known better though than to post something that personal. Thank you for your understanding though . . . you're a gal who knows about real life and empathy.

ETA: Actually she is my grandniece.

At times a person can find it hard to post on here,between the mods removing them,and people just being mean.

It immediately went bad and I quickly contacted the mods to delete it. I see so many personal posts here, but apparently mine was over the top . . . and I agree. Maybe ok somewhere else, but not this BB. I probably should have said "I know of someone," and lied about it being a relative. But I'm not a good liar.

And you're right about the "mean." These individuals are not my friends.

Anyway, it's a done deal.

Honestly do not think it mattered that you said it was a relative,they would hit back no matter what,don't understand why they do not like you.

Oh, this goes back years, goldens, many years. They have changed some nics, but it's the same ones. I know nothing about them, couldn't care less actually.

They will talk about my post today for years. They will throw it up to me every chance they get.

I still think of myself as Ford also, Tansy. I don't know why I thought I had to change it when they changed the BB. Just use LilacTree as an "address." I am still "Ford," LOL.

You and others that I would mention, but not without their permission, have always known the dynamic of this BB. I've never seen you get in any kind of "issue" with someone about something you posted. You are respected and admired for your fairness, restraint, intellect, and ability to discuss almost any matter. When you disagree, you don't make it mean.

I, on the other hand, am all over the place emotionally. I get "caught up" too easily and that's when I reveal too much personally, or say things that annoy others (not meaning to be mean . . . I don't think I'm ever mean). At this age, I'm probably not going to ever change, so those of you who realize how I am, just seem to tolerate it . . . and I KNOW that.

This Sunday I had family down and we were outside on the patio enjoying the beautiful weather, and I blurted out something silly . . . and one of my daughters said, "she's old and eccentric, just ignore it." Another one said "she's earned it." Everyone laughed lovingly. I can't ask for more than that, right?

I'm the one who asked for it to be deleted. I knew it was inappropriate the minute I posted it. I get that way sometimes . . . say too much too soon. I just knew it could go nowhere but down.
