Talk about a freak accident...

French fitness blogger, Rebecca Burger, was killed when a whipped cream dispenser (the one you make your own whipped cream) exploded and hit her in the chest. Her family is warning others about this type of dispenser (that contain a little air chamber). She was 33 years old.

I read this this AM!

It's a CO2 container within the whipped cream container (rather than air) and apparently hit her in the thorax, causing a heart attack.

The article I read on another news site said that this is not an isolated incident, others have been injured too, including some who have received broken ribs.

Also, it is being reported that coffee creamers will explode if coming in contact with a flame. (Kinda makes my belly hurt!)

Last week when I was steaming wallpaper - those steamers build up so much pressure - it really scared me to use it - I went in the other room while it was heating up - but if it were to explode - you would have 3rd degree burns everywhere. Scary using things like that. You just pray they aren't defective!

Actually , if someone was present that knew CPR she most likely could have been resusitated. Her heart was healthy and young - it had just suffered an injury. Such a sad loss.

I imagine the heart was badly bruised or a vessel ruptured from the trauma.

So many dangerous things out there. Sad this happened to her.

One of my friends smokes those vapor cigs and one day the battery inside the vapor holder caught fire and exploded on her lap while she was driving! She got badly burned and had to go to the hospital. Another guy had it explode and catch fire while it was in his mouth. He had to have surgery after that incident.

I have one of those. I never use it. I can see how something like that could cause a serious injury

I read that the EMT's did revive her and got her to a hospital. She died there some hours later.
