Overzealous Auto-flushing Toilet

I find many business have remodeled restrooms with touchless faucets, soap/towel dispenser and auto-flush toilets. I like that.

Today, I encountered a toilet that flushed when I entered the stall, a sort of greeting, then again midway, once again when I finished, and a final flush as I left, a sort of toilet farewell.

😂😂😂. My office bathrooms have auto-flushing toilets. They have a mind of their own. I've had one flush on me 4-5 times!

LOL, @occasionalrain or maybe LMAO applies since we're talking about toilets. Anyway, the first time or two I "met" one I was very surprised but grateful. I also really appreciate touchless faucets, etc.

We had a hard time with the 5 yr old Granddaughter on vacation with these things....she would cry...because they scared her.

I found that if you cover the red sensor thing...most times it won't flush...

Auto-flush Haiku

Toilet receives waste

Roaring flushing scares it out

Peace comes when I flush.

Loud angry waters

Startle and frighten me now

No control of life.

I remember commercials of the Tidy Bowl man...Caribbean music coming from the tank....I am not a fan of automated toilets.

We had a notriously slow hand dryer in one of our local establishments. One frustrated user scratched directtions in the paint. The last step was "wipe hands on pants." We have a pressure flush toilet at home, we love it, but always warn new people. You do have to use the handle.

It's a good idea, because some people don't flush the toilets in a public restroom.

@occasionalrain ... Well, at least you can get the toilet to flush when you leave. I usually encounter ones that flush when you walk into the stall, flush again half way through, and then refuse to flush when you finish...and apparently there is nothing you can do about it.

We have them were I work. And yes, they flush twice or more. It also has automatic lights. If no one is there, the lights switch off. I can only assume it motion sensitive.

For the wayword flush refusers, I try waving my hand around in front of the sensor. I have no way of knowing if that works or that the toilet decided to flush on its own. As to the faucet not giving water, try giving it a little bump wit the back of your hand.
