Is It Summer Where You Live

I live in NYC and sadly summer hasn't made it's way here yet. The weekend was a total washout, cloudy and rainy. The beaches were empty, vendors probably lost out on a lot of money. Right now the temperature is 59 degrees, I'm wearing a sweater! I shut the heat about 2 weeks ago when it was 90 degrees! I can't wait for the warmer weather. So how's it by you?

Well...it was a few days ago. Just after fall. But today it's monsoon season again.

Southwest here and we've been in hot weather since March!! We really had no winter this year and hardly any rain since February! Been in the 90's most of May.....

Not here in Ohio. However, our weather was much better than it was initially forecasted to be. They were saying it was supposed to rain most of the weekend.

Friday was gorgeous as was Saturday. Sunday late in the day we did get a lot of rain. Yesterday was gorgeous also.

Our temps aren't particularly hot but I'm fine with it being in the upper 60's or into the 70's. It's only May, albeit the end of May. I don't want it to go from winter to hot, humid and sticky.

Every day for about the next five months (if lucky) here in East Texas. Already hit the low 90's. Air conditioning running all day every day.

Not yet. It was beautiful over Memorial Day but a little too hot for me - in the low 80's. Today it is cloudy with isolated showers. The joke here (Seattle area) is that summer arrives July 5th.

Atlanta has made it to the upper 80's and I'm happy for it.

We were very dry but now we've entered a rainy period. Gloomy a lot of the time.

Phoenix here and we've had days of 106 already. Been hot since April and won't cool down until Halloween. We will hit 118 degrees easily.

Same as you, Jordan, but I'm not sad about it. Cloudy, some rain and 59 is ok by me in light of the extreme cold and heat we can get in winter and summer. Summer, with its heat and humidity, will come soon enough on June 21.

@SilleeMee, yes of course your right, it is technically still spring, but Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer. Lots of people flock to the beach as soon as the Memorial Day weekend starts.

Not yet here in Wisconsin, but it isn't cold either......We are having 60 degree weather, cooler at night......I don't mind it, because I know how hot and humid July and August will be..........

Summer in San Francisco usually involves a lot of fog. Our hot weather shows up in September & October, with a couple of exceptions of hot days sprinkled here and there earlier in the year.

It was 50 degrees yesterday and I felt cold all day. Usually 50 is nothing.

It's finally going to be a sunny day! The weather (Anchorage) has been cloudy/rainy/windy/cold for the past 2 weeks. Today's high will be 61 low of 43. Sunny for Wed/Thurs, highs of 66 and 70 on Thursday...woohoo!😎👙 Wishing everyone great weather and a wonderful summer.

I'm in No. WI. It is still spring here. We've had a few days in the 70's, but then we get days in the 50's (40's at night). Nobody plants their gardens here until after June 1 as late frosts are not unheard of.

No and yes.

CA's Central Coast is often cloudy, foggy and in the 60s during the summer months - so, not what most people think of as sunny warm summer weather - but yes, this is our summer in large part and it's here early.
