It's raining - it's pouring ...

The people in Florida are smiling! After several months of drought we are finally getting some rain. Not a lot but perhaps it's an omen of things to come. It has rained hard for about 30 min each afternoon for 3 days. DH & I were in the pool and it started to thunder around 4PM so we high tailed it home. Then nothing until about 15 min ago - hope it continues for a while. Yesterday we had one good hard rain for about 40 min then thru the evening a few short spurts. We definitely need this rain and a whole lot more. Around our area they use the cleaned up water from processing the sewage to irrigate the sprinkler systems , so our lawns are staying nice and green. But the water levels in lakes & ponds is very low and some are totally dried up. Our friends who have a pool were saying they have to keep the cover on because the air is so dry the pool water evaporates significantly every day.

summer has arrived in the baltimore area. it was 90+ degrees today......ridiculous! why cant we maintain the low 70s temperatures for at least another month?

Southwest Florida reporting. I see clouds, but so far no rain. We can use if. Parts of my property are beginning to look like the Sahara Desert.

Enjoy them. We have had nothing but warmth and blue, cloudless skies for months, with only short , rare pop up storms occasionally. Now I'm not one to complain about beautiful warm days all winter but now it is time for the rains to start.

It was 95 and sunny here in southern NY. I washed bedding on hung it outside, and does it smell good. 🌞🌞

95 would wipe me out. My comfort level is 72 to 74 degrees with no humidity. Today the high is 59 degrees.

I'm not crazy about it either, but I figured I would take advantage of it. By Friday we should be back in the 70's.
