Swallowing two or more small magnets can bind the intestines together and need to be surgically removed. The dangers of small magnets and children or pets goes beyond choking, which any small objects can cause.

Just watched the presentation for those Good Hangups magnets and the first thing I thought of was it looks like it could be a choking hazard waiting to happen. It is a great concept and very inventive, but I would worry that those little magnets could be very dangerous to the little ones and possibly pets that eat anything and everything that falls on the floor. I've seen several reports on the dangers of children and pets accidentally ingesting small magnets. Like I said, great for lots of uses, but extreme caution should be taken.

Looked on various sites and they show

"WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years or any individuals who have a tendency to place inedible objects in their mouths.

Meets CPSC Safety Requirements."
