Janet Jackson and husband split

After 5 years of marriage and a baby son, Janet Jackson and husband are splitting. Someone posted this in "TV and Movies," but this category gets more reading!

I have read there is a prenup that kicks in after 5 years, that the reason was the husband didn't care about her family's situations, or that he was too "controlling" about her appearance and life.

Well, since her "daughter" has been in the news trying to get her to admit everything, doesn't surprise me. I couldn't believe she was actually going back on stage, but that didn't happen because she "magically" got pregnant. I wish her the best of luck, but I doubt she will raise their son. I feel she gave birth out of pressure from him or family. Just doesn't feel right or normal to me, but then most things don't anymore.

@PurpleBunny I read your post and pretty much said the same thing (only you said it better and more to the point).

I hope she was smart enough to come to the US BEFORE she decided to start this 'process'. Otherwise, like you said, 'good luck honey'.

As far as a train wreck. I think things like this happen all of the time everywhere. You like to think people think these differences out BEFORE they get married, however, I guess they don't.

Come to think of it I got married within 3 months of laying my eyes on my husband. However, he wasn't rich (in the Army), and I didn't have anything, so money wasn't an issue, as well as religion, etc.

We were both just barely 19 years old and I think in some ways that was a plus because we were both what I'd call bendable.

I have an unmarried daughter (soon turning 36) and my guess is she needs to give a lot of thought as to who she marries because she has a really good life already set and change doesn't come easy.

Janet wasn't a Spring Chicken when she got married. If all she wanted was a baby, you can just order one of those these days. I guess she was in love with him, I guess...maybe...

Didn't she live with this guy for years even before they were married? I'm thinking she might want to give the marriage thing up since this is her third.

That women does not look anything like janet.

So? She hasn't had cosmetic surgeries and the same training/advantages. She could look like "Grandma or Grandpa". Heck, some brothers and sisters don't look like their own immediate family, but can be identical to distants or cousins.

Does anyone else feel that the Jackson family has so many problems because they have poor role models?

While I feel they bring many of their problems on themselves... I dont think they had very good parenting.

Now Katheryn is supposedly being kept from Michael's children... and she was so important to them .... especially now that he is deceased. I keep reading one sad situation after another in this family.

Either the divorce really was mutually agreed upon or Janet and that baby were long long gone before she filed for divorce. She wouldn't have been so clueless that she'd seek a divorce in his country. The woman is 50 years old.
