Could you do it?

If you had to pull out and get rid of 20 items out of your clothes closet right now... could you do it easily or would it be hard to choose?

For me it would take a bit, but I think I could do it.

i could do it easily.

in fact, i do it anytime i get a call from one of the charities that do home pick up.

i almost always answer the phone and tell them i have a bag or two to donate.

LFA, BBBS, purple heart, and more.

Go ahead - take them from your husband's closet. But donate them. After my precious husband passed, Itook his things and donated to a group that was helping flood victims in our area. The woman who took them in had tears running down her cheeks. She said that nobody was donating men's things and that they were even more needed than women's.

And yes, I could easily take things from my closet. I've lost just enough weight to change sizes. Lots of things will be going soon.

It would be easy. I recognize that I have way more clothes than a person needs. I actually went through a self imposed de cluttering project this past Christmas, and I still have more items and clothes that I could get rid of.

20 items - probably many more that I keep saying I will lose the weight. Just taking up space and probablyy haven't worn for years.

A few years ago, the Salvation Army said it would pu my large tube TV if I donated 3 bags of clothing. The sanitation dept no longer would dispose of it.

I went crazy. Emptying all my high heeled shoes, coats, pants to fill 3 large garbage bags. I always need that kick in the bum.

No, I could not donate 20 items from my closet. I just counted the items hanging in there, and only have 24 items; including a housecoat and 2 winter coats. After I retired, all the clothes I no longer needed went out the door. My closet has turned into another storage area.

I could easily do about half that. 20 would be tough, even though I have a ton of clothes. I have things I want to get rid of that I have never worn. But because I have never worn them, or only worn them once or twice, I won't donate them. It is a form of self-punishment for buying the item in the first place, or not returning it when I could have.

I literally wear my clothes until they are not even worthy for rags, straight to the garbage they go, so YES I would have a very difficult time getting rid of my clothes,

I can donate household goods, small appliances, books I have read, shoes, you name it, but when it comes to my clothes I am a bit selfish!

My husband has even taken me by the hand and told me that we have to have a talk and tells me when he thinks it is time for me to ""Let Go" of some of my shirts, I tell him I cannot do it, and he asks me if he wants me to have him do it, and I nod my head but tell him to take the garbage out of the house as I am not above dishing it out the minute he turns his back, YES I am pathetic!

I just did a purge three days ago of hanging clothes, got rid of 20+ items (2 black trash bags full) and I guess if I had to do more right now, I could.

I have a small bedroom that I turned into a walk in closet. OK, I'm a clothes horse.

Two weeks agoI went through the room and packed up five 30 gallon plastic bags with clothes that didn't fit me any more or that I haven't worn for a long time. Sad to say some of the stuff still had tags on them. Took them to a charity store. It actually felt liberating.

I've been going through my whole house cleaning out storage and cupboards and getting rid of so much stuff. I'm at that stage in my life where I don't want so much stuff.

When the weather warms up I plan on going through my outside storage shed and getting rid of more.

I could maybe do ten, but I'm getting better at donating and throwing out, so I don't think I could do 20.

yes I could and in fact I did early this morning.

I've gone down in size and while switching my closet over to summer, I purged out stuff that was too big.

I have the "one in. One out " rule, so things never get too out of control.

yes I could. I am much into just basics now. I look at my clothes in the closet and think ...eww who wore that?
