How to get the wrinkles out of this rain jacket?!

All in all so far I am pleased with this rain jacket I ordered from QVC. But it arrived so terribly wrinkled. I have had it hanging to hopefully smooth the wrinkles out, but they are not budging.

Will the dry cleaners be able to get the wrinkles out? QVC did a great job packing this jacket, using an oversized box, on a nice hanger, with plastic protecting, and a large piece of cardboard in the center, to prevent moving around. But it still arrived very wrinkled. Had I bough this for casual wear or to go 'bumming around' in, I would not care, but I was hoping to wear this to church (we get a lot of rain here).

I would wash it( hopefully you do not have to dry clean it!)

Thanks. It does say machine wash. Just out of curiousity, if you wash something (or even dry clean), will QVC still let you return something..?

i have mentioned this before, but i will again.

i had received two linea jackets last year that were horribly wrinkled.

i was going to send them back , but thought that the same problem would occur.

i checked with my dry cleaners to see what it would cost to just have them professionally pressed.

i called qvc customer service and they gave me a credit for the cost of pressing them. i got to keep them and have them looking like they should.

YES! In fact I wash everything that I purchase clothes wise right when I get it to make sure that it does not shrink and holds up.

I would hang it in the bathroom with a few days and see if the shower steam helped the wrinkles. Do you have a small portable steamer? That works on some of these items.

It really bugs me when you receive a garment that has deep wrinkles in the itme. Honestly, a few years ago they over packed the items not it's the complete opposite.

Put it in the dryer on medium for about five minutes and be there when the dryer stops so you can take it out immediately and hang it up. You didn't say what material it is. That would matter.

ETA: I just looked at the jacket. You should be able to put this in the dryer easily.

@msh8970 one addition to the suggestion above. Spritz a bath towel or two and put them in with the jacket.

Btw may I ask what color you purchased? Just being nosy.

Tique, I ordered blush. It is far more muted in person than I expected. Kind of a little drab-looking. Kind of wish I ordered the light blue.

It seems you are not the only buyer that received a wrinkled jacket. Some reviews suggest the wrinkles do not come out. Could be the reason it is drastically reduced. Next stop will be Lunchtime Specials.

Have you tried a steamer? I might try that, or washing it as suggested. Yes, QVC will tak eit back if wrinkles do not come out. I might just hand wash it so it doesnt get "wrung out" even more.

If other shoppers are having the same problem it might be a defect in the shipping from overseas where the jacket was made. Sometimes they put all these sprays and finishes on a product. They package them well to be shipped to vendor. But often Weather gets really hot, or product sits in a warehouse and the heat actually permanently wrinkles them. I have had clothing so wrinkled they could not be washed out, or even ironed out.
