I live two hours from a Trader Joe's so I have not been in a couple of years. Going this Sunday with some friends and would appreciate your recommendations!

Love their pastas, and marinated meats for nights when I in a hurry. Dark chocolate peanut butter cups!! Oh my! I've rarely purchased something I don't like. Have a great time.

I love their Mac&cheese in the frozen section & lots of other frozen prepared foods. I also like their macadamia nuts, tea & they have better oranges than my regular supermarket.

I like frozen hasbrowns that are in a patty shape...bake them and they get crispy on the outside.Love the frozen orange chicken but it isn't really healthy.i always buy the chia bars to snack on because they are really low sugar,taste great and made with good ingredients.The cheeses are good and I think fairly priced.I buy their organic chicken breast too and we love the apple smoked bacon.

I am not a regular customer but once in a while I stop in. I would say that you are safe with whatever you pick out. They do have good hummus and good frozen salmon.

Their canned stuffed grapevine leaves (dolmas) are wonderful, and very well priced. Great addition to a Greek salad, IMO.

Dark Chocolate Covered Powerberries

Gummy Tummies (Gummy snacks with juice in side)

Trader Joe's Spray Sunscreen

Trader Joe's Midsummer Night's Cream (super moisturizing and super cheap)

Their new Carabao sweet dried mango- unsulfured and unsweetened. They are super soft and sooooo good! I like them much better than their Just Mangos, which are also unsweetened by not as flavorful and tough like jerky.

Love their organic Opal apples- so good!

And, of course, must get some wine! My newest favorite (and cheap!) is their organic Grifone Pinot Grigio. Not too sweet, not too dry. Very light, juicy notes.

I also love their aged cheeses. So good with pears or apples.

And if you like tortilla chips but are watching your salt intake, they have awesome organic no salt tortilla chips. We love them!

Their number one best seller is Asian ORANGE CHICKEN. As good as in a restaurant. Frozen section, comes in a bag. Serve over rice.

I love their Teriyaki chicken, also frozen and comes in a bag. Always good, just serve over rice. I always keep it around for a night when I don't want to cook.

I suggest taking a cooler with blue ice for refrigerated and frozen goods if the trip back is two hours.

I've recently discovered their ready made popcorn in bags. Low calorie for a snack, a couple of different flavors. Love Bollywood popcorn which has a kick to it.

I love just about everything they have! We shop there once a week.

I'd stock up on tea, if you drink that. They have excellent choices at good prices.

The only items I pick up are mint green tea and their store brand $2.99 wine. That wine is amazingly good. Most everything else I can find elsewhere at better pricing.

I love the fresh produce at Trader Joe's, the mushroom selection from the store in my area is amazing!

Other favorites include the Chicken Satay Sauce, Dipping Cookies, frozen Brown Rice, the frozen Fettuccine Alfredo, the gourmet Pizza, grind it yourself Coffee, the Holistic Kitty Treats, Inside Out Cookies in the bakery....well, almost anything from the bakery. I have a soft spot for the gummy candy called Penguins!

In all honesty they are not the best, and dont hold up for long. We have a TJ only a few blocks away and my hubby, who is my cook, shops there every week, but is getting away from buying produce there. He says it comes in from Cal, we are on east coast and by the time we get it it is not fresh. My daughters inlaws are vegans and only eat plant based foods for the most part, they live in Las Vegas and she even says she buys her produce elsewhere.

The Saucy Scallops with Mushrooms in the frozen section is outstanding. Tastes like a meal from a fine restaurant. I often heat up their Organic Cauliflower Rice from the frozen section and mix it together.

Love the dark chocolate creamy mints in the clear tub container. Everyone loves them.

The plantain chips are delicious and unique too.

I don't think that someone who lives on the East Coast can answer this question for the entire country! I live on the West Coast and the produce I buy from Trader Joe's couldn't be any fresher. I shop only for me, so things have to last for a while, and they do.
