Yes, and I think the mods would do themselves a favor and leave the topic up and just close it.

Many times people will start another thread not knowing one was closed or removed about the same topic.

It might prevent the same topic coming up again. And yes, I know some people start another thread about the same topic on purpose, but many times people start a new thread with the same topic not never having seen the original closed or removed one.

The latest one I saw was regarding the cemetary stones but you could read all the comments. That was closed for comment.

I had one several months ago that went several pages of comments, nothing bad at all and it got closed for comment too.

I think it has to do with who the moderator is and how they feel that day.

Closed threads never bothered me at all and put it this way, the board is monitored all the time so even if there were snarky comments made throughout the thread, they wouldn't last.

I TRY (key word) real hard to remind myself this belongs to QVC so they have a right to do whatever they do.

However, it would help to have some kind of idea on why the post was closed. They are able to send an email notifying the poster on what they posted was wrong.

Not every post was mean or objectionable. My guess is sometimes the poster ventured too far into political and/or religious. In those cases it would be nice.....well...I would appreciate getting an email on what I did wrong.

I don't think I've ever had one closed or zapped whatever. I've never noticed, maybe I have.

I'm not sure mods have the time to email each person when a post is deleted. From what I see this board is only one of their duties. I see them monitoring and answering questions on the Facebook pages of QVC. And they all do not work at the same time. I don't think this board is a number one priority.

I had one locked a couple days ago after an innocent question about my Finnish heritage. After 100 or so posts, the thread started to go negative and I can see why they closed it.

Well, my post was deleted...they had called it "abuse". wth? That's like saying it's "abuse" to ask the neighborhood kids to stop breaking your windows every time they play baseball near your house.

I guess it all has to do with whose side they're on.

@Daisy Sunflower. Someone probably reported your post. I hope you really don't think the mods read each and every thread to try and make a determination if a post is rude or whatever. They do other things so cannot read every thread. If it's reported and they see something not so nice? Poof.

if you report to them that someone is following you and harassing you, they will take action. Otherwise how would they know what is going on?
