Seven year old Makenna Woodburn was waiting in a very long line at Red Sox spring training to get player autographs. She stepped out, lost her place in line, and asked US Army Reservist Olyvia Russell to sign her baseball. Makenna said Olyvia is a hero, not baseball players. Her mother posted about it on Facebook, trying to find Olyvia. She did and they are meeting up for lunch. Olyvia said Makenna proved to her that what she is doing in life is good enough. And that she started shaking and her eyes filled with tears when Makenna asked her.

I love this story so much. Her parents must be raising her very well. Bravo. She is saving allowance to buy a case for the ball and wants to bring it to school for show and tell.
