Favorite collectibles!

Over the decades, I have bought many collectibles from QVC.

The angels and the bells are my favorites. I also consider two different

Tiffany-style lamps that I bought to be favorite collectible items.

I don't collect much anymore but from QVC I admit I do like Jim Shore collectables and buy those when I am able. I also like the angel bells from QVC.

I went overboard buying Disney Classic Collection. I have glass display cases and cabinets and closets filled with them.

Collectible coins. I purchase them directly from the US Mint and other Mints and Reserve Banks around the world that sell collectible coins to the public. I NEVER purchase them from TV shows or coin dealers.

I collected polish pottery but my son doesn't care for it so now that I am older I quit.

No collectibles from QVC specifically. I used to collect too many things like antique plates, dolls etc

The only collection that I kept was my "It's A Wonderful Life" items. I have some cast autographs, the town from Target, multiple DVDs etc.

I have added to my father's coin collection that he left me when he passed. It has some value.

Never purchased collectables from the Q. Don't really have any. I do have Margaret Furlong items - not the angels but her nature collection of shell ornaments (all retireed). That's all. Most youger folks don't do collectables they are fast becoming a thing of the past.

I don't collect the kinds of collectibles QVC sells. I collect books signed by authors I love.

Some of my favorites are:

By Myself and Then Some, by Lauren Bacall

Rather Outspoken: My Life in the News, by Dan Rather

Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets, signed by author David Simon and Clark Johnson, one of the stars of the TV series

Q is for Quarry, by Sue Grafton

Razor Girl, by Carl Hiaasen (I waited YEARS for him to come to town!)

I Love Everybody (and Other Atrocious Lies), by Lori Notaro, because inside she wrote that I saved her life by laughing at the reading she did beforehand. As she signed and handed the book back to me, she said, "I really meant what I wrote in there - thank you."

Several books by Dave Barry, who I've seen three times at signings. The first time he signed a book for me, he wrote "You are a goddess!" inside, so how could I not go get more signed.

I used to collect Lladro, Hummel's, Lenox, Polish Stoneware, Waterford and Bellique. I gave away 99% of it after asking my children whether they wanted it only to be told absolutely No. I still have my large collection of Hallmark Christmas ornaments dating from the early 80's but that's about it....

I collected Disney cookie jars. I liked to buy the limited edition ones that disney auctions put out years ago, but sadly they shut that down. And Disneystore.com just doesn't sell cookie jars anymore.

My mother had always wanted to collect Hummel but could never afford them so she had the knock off versions. QVC's pricing for Hummels was actually in line with other places or lower so I got them here. Collecting like that doesn't happen much anymore.

.qvc didnot have collectibles when I came on board. So from hsn dalton lady figurines, monthly bears and too many dolls; also some capo. jim shore cats were bought from different companies.

Polish stoneware, Christopher Radko ornaments and Fenton Art glass are a few of my favorites. For whatever reason non of these vendors are featured on the Q any longer. It may be the targeted demographic has less interest in collecting.
