It was on news this morning that Al Boscov has end stage CA. 87 years old. Went to work Monday.

I'm so sorry to hear that.

He is the owner/founder of one of the remaining singly owned department stores in the country. To be able to do that in today's climate of retailers says a lot.

He founded Boscov's and has pancreatic cancer. His son is CEO now: dad said the stores are in good hands. He plans to open 2 new stores this year. He told his employees and closed with " Love you all ! "

I remember seeing a photo of him on Thanksgiving Night when a store was open. He was there working along with everyone else. Definitely not an undercover boss !!!!!!!!

That is too bad! I wish him and his family all the best and sending prayers. I love this store --- well I only buy on line as we do not have one locally.
