Please Tell Us About Your Screen Name

As a supplement to the new thread about avatars, it's interesting to know how you chose your screen name, and its significance to you.

Mine is simple. When DH and l became new homeowners, funds were limited. The house, which was a re-sale, needed some repairs and improvements. Since DH isn't very handy, l taught myself to do lots of things around the house, to save the cost of calling in handymen and contractors.

I've owned iMacs since 1999.

My first was a see through G3 iMac 15" screen "Lifesaver Cherry Red."

Only 6gb of RAM.

My 2nd one was a G5 iMac.

My 3rd & current is a non-Retina iMac 27" screen. Maxed out to the gills (RAM & storage).

I had blondish hair most of my adult life. For a period of time I decided to

color it red. That is when I chose the name. I no longer have either.

Now, I have rusty joints, so it still fits!!!

@hckynut - John, it's funny now but when I first joined the forums and saw your name I always pronounced it in my mind as hickory nut :-) Don't do that anymore though - well, maybe sometimes my mind "slips".

Mine just combines two of my favorite dogs who have passed on - Chl=Chloe and Emma = Emma, Chloe a cocker spaniel and Emma a golden retriever. I still miss them.

Years ago when I was a member on the old hsn forum, I got banned for saying something I should not have said. To put it bluntly, what I said was really SILLY TO ME but evidently not so much to others. Can't even remember what it was all about.

My Mom sang Beautiful Dreamer to us for a bedtime lullaby. She died when I was a little girl. I remember how beautiful her voice was. She was beautiful too.❤
