I Changed my Avatar

I was informed by QVC that someone objected to the gun that appeared in my former avatar. I thought the meaning of the Avatar was quite clear and appropriate for a message board - "Don't Shoot the Messenger", and the messenger was a cute orange kitty!

I certainly did not mean to offend anyone here with my avatar and am a bit dismayed that someone felt the need to go to the Powers that Be about it.

Well, I changed it because I was asked (very nicely by the QVC Social people) but kind of wish whoever had a problem with it asked me about it first.

I went to the most incredible contemporary ballet performance last nite.

I am still in awe of their magnificence.

I shall try to channel some of what I saw there tonite at dance class.

@QueenDanceALot That is nuts! I swear, some people on these boards are so overly sensitive. I do not even notice a persons avatar 99% of the time. These posters must just live their lives looking to make issues about them day in and day out. Complaining about everything. Makes them feel important. How could a gun and a kitten make you feel worried or scared? PLEASE.

It wasn't just a gun.

It was a kitty being held up, a really cute kitty! "Don't Shoot the Messenger" is universally understood, isn't it? It wasn't any kind of social commentary or anything.

The other one was fine with this Texas girl. But some folks have nothing better to do than to complain. Kitty you do what makes you feel comfortable and happy.

It's funny about noticing and not noticing certain avatars.

Someone has a black shark avatar that swims in a circle and sometimes it startles me cause it looks like a bug has jumped on the bottom of my screen. Everytime it happens I think its time for new reading glasses.

I liked the cute little cinnamon kitty boy with his paws in the air.

Oh,, well, I have him saved on my computer when I want to see his cuteness.

You wouldn't BELIEVE what the dancers I saw last nite could do with their bodies. It was INSANE!!!

If you ever think about it, check out Alonzo King Lines Ballet. They are out of San Francisco and on tour. The second half of the performance was all done to wild sounds, birds, frogs, crickets, elephants, monkeys, gulls. It was specTACular!!!

And about the kitty and the gun, I didn't think it was even really visible unless you clicked on it. Maybe I'm just blind.
