Respiratory problems stemming from pneumonia for George, and coughing and breathing problems for Barbara.

Oh goodness I had heard about GHWB earlier today but it sounded like he was stabilized and would be released soon . . . had no idea about Barbara, good thoughts and prayers for both of them to get well soon! . . .

@Noel7, Thank you, I didnt know about mrs bush. They have always seemed like such a loving couple, Barbra always a gracious motherly figure. I hope their illness are easily resolved and they can continue their lives together happily..Maryanne

That's tough, hope they will both get well soon.

I just missed seeing both of them about five years ago at a restaurant in Maine, the place was buzzing that they had both just been there via boat from their house in Kennebunkport. They had a favorite table on the outside deck. Don't know how much time they spend in Maine now, must be tough at their ages to travel.

George HW is 92 and Barbara is 91. I hope they recover well.

I had forgotten that he has Parkinson's. I hope all goes well for both of them. They've been together 72 years.

The time is coming ,when all of the leaders that lived and fought for democracy during WW2, will be gone, and we will be the poorer for it

Mrs. Bush was admitted as a precaution but she was showing symptoms

Barbara Bush is my all time favorite first lady.
