This is the agency for reporting identity theft, abusive debt collectors and most types of fraud. After filing a complaint, you'll get a reference number to use when contacting the agency for future updates. The FTC received more than 3 million complaints in 2015, and it does not routinely respond back to you or resolve your individual case. Rather, your complaints will be entered into a database that the FTC and some 2,000 civil and criminal enforcement agencies use to track scam patterns and build cases against specific con artists. Fraud complaints should also be filed with your state's attorney general and even local law enforcement authorities.

For reporting unsolicited sales calls. Start by putting your phone number on this registry. Once yours has been there for at least 31 days, you can report unwanted calls. Your information will be pooled with other data to help catch violators. Note that calls from legitimate charities, survey firms, debt collectors and political candidates or parties are not covered by the Do Not Call rules.

People come on saying they get checks from ??? for $25,000 and the next day $35,000 and so on just by getting the water.

How in the hay is this not illegal.

While I appreciate your effort in posting all that information, personally my opinion is that all of these commission, registries, bureaus, centers, etc government related are useless and offer nothing.

If someone wants holy water and is willing to pay for it... that is their business and their money. As long as they make the decision for themselves and are not hog tied... the government does not need to get involved. Too much govenment already. People have rights to purchase what they want and the right to believe what they want.

I would like to add one, since sooner or later, everyone seems to get a fraud email about their Paypal account.

The address is spoof@paypal.com.

Forward that SPAM email to them asap. They VERY aggressively go after these thieves, and often send you an email thanking you for helping to keep the internet safe.

Big businesses have slews of lawyers, consumers have watch dog agencies.

Thanks for taking time to post this information ! I received an email from Ebay advising me my account has been compromised and to go onto account and change my password. I have not bought from Ebay for years. I will look occassionally but it has been at least 8 years.

I don't have a PayPal account so if I get one of those emails I will be worried.

@Sweet_Serenity, it's not a problem; it's just that it's asking something that is inherent in that party's makeup -- the distrust/dislike of government and the strong ties to business that make that party very much against regulations that might in any way financially impact said businesses. Too bad, so sad for the people, the consumers, all of us.

Of course, if you still want sources, I can pile them on here for you. I'd be more than willing to do so.
