I love the quote about nurses. They do not get "prep time" like some occupations, they work weekends, holidays, and nights. Their place of employment is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are expected to stay overtime when staffing is short. They get called to come in on their day off.

They not only tend to the patient's needs, but also deal with the family and friends. They are the advocate for the patient. So much is behind the scenes, not in front of the patient. Thank you for posting the quote.
