17 Suspects Arrested In Kardashian Robbery

"Early reports say “exploitable DNA” was found on a piece of jewelry dropped by the robbers as they made their getaway on bicycles."

French police arrested 17 suspects in connection with the armed robbery of Kim Kardashian West in a Paris hotel room that resulted in $10 million worth of jewelry being stolen, authorities announced Monday.

According to the Associated Press, the arrests took place starting around 6 a.m. Monday in different locations around Paris and the surrounding cities. The suspects can be held for up to 96 hours before they must be charged or released.

Although Paris prosecutors office have offered no comment concerning ongoing operations, PEOPLE has learned that suspects are already being brought before two magistrates Monday morning for questioning as the process continues.

I also read that 2 sets of DNA were retrieved from the duct tape, used to tape Kim's mouth shut.

If it were a regular person it would have never made the news, a police report would be filled out and they would be done. The "suspects" appeared to be the nicest robbers ever. Never striking, hurting or killing.

17 suspects are you kidding.

5 people were killed in the airport. That's serious.

I think people joke about it because many are skeptical that it was a real robbery, and not a set-up for publicity.

No, they weren't nice people, nice people don't do that. They threatened her with bodily harm and tied tied her up. Do you really think you would have come through that as if it were a tea party?

And no, I'm not kidding that the news says 17 people. I hope you realize there are usually a lot of people involved in a large jewelry heist. Not just those who show up to take her down and run off with the jewelry, but the contacts needed to store it and try to sell it on the black market.

It could happen to anyone......if it had happened to you, a friend/loved one or anyone besides a 'K' family member, I bet you'd feel differently.

I don't have to like or know a person to feel empathy or sympathy for them, under certain circumstances. But that's just me.

Not to mention the cooperation of a world famous hotel? Cooperating in a stunt that could RUIN the reputation of the hotel. I don't think so.
