I had the same problem with the post office, we were expecting a medical delivery, tracking showed it delivered but not in the mail box. Went to post office with a copy of the notification that it's been delivered, we get a copy of the scan that says was delivered to our address. Driver was called to the counter , says he remembered delivery and some one must of stole it. A few days later it's found about 1/2 mile down the road from my house. In anouther persons mailbox . Just because they scan it as delivered doesn't mean they left it at your house ! !

This has never happened to me before so I'm not sure what to do about it. Sorry if this is long. I ordered a pair of boots from QVC that was delivered Wednesday around 2:15 pm. I get an email from UPS saying ma package had been delivered. I texted my son, who was home, to get it for me from the front door. He looked. No package. We live in a townhouse development. There's 4 buldings and each has 6 units. There's also a townhouse development directly across the street and the units are numbered the same way ours are, A1, A2, A3, etc. Their street address is just a few digits different from our. I called UPS and told them my pacakge wasn't there so they put in a message to our local UPS. The girl I spoke to called the driver and he insisted he delivered it to the correct address. I asked if it was possible he left it at the other development. She said no and got very defensive about their drivers working there more than 20 years, etc. She said the driver mentioned that my neighbor, an older woman with glasses, even saw him deliver it. Problem with that is the unit number he said she lived in is not an older woman. She's a young woman who travels for a living is very rarely at home. I called QVC and they were very nice and have sent me another pair of boots, which I am very happy about, but the fact that someone came right up to my door and stole my package really bothers me. I guess I should just let this go and be glad I'm getting my boots. I think I'm just frustrated with UPS. They were no help and did not want to even consider that that package could have been delivered to the other development. The girl at UPS said she'd call me back the next day and use some sort of satelite system they can use to actually see the driver drop off the package, but she never did. I tried calling them, but they wouldn't even call me back.

It sounds as if he delivered it to the wrong address, which happens frequenly, IMO

You would think if it was delivered to the wrong address, your neighbor would have brought the package over to you.

This is what drives prices up - packages being stolen or delivered to the wrong address.

They do have a GPS-type system that can tell them the exact geographical location of the parcel.

I once had a parcel that was delivered, but not to me. I called UPS and the lady on the phone did whatever it is they do and saw that the parcel was on the porch of a neighbor, two houses up the street. It took a hot second, so there was no need to call me back.

While I was on the phone with her I walked over there, and it was there.

I've always gotten pretty nice and helpful people when I have called UPS. Maybe you can keep trying and get somebody else.

I have practically adopted UPS. However sometimes there is a new guy and the package ends up across the street. So my neighbor simply calls and drops it off. I live rural and I am lucky. But I can see where things could get INTERESTING if the drop off is the wrong place.

A few weeks ago while we were away we had all mail held. Often packages are delivered at the end stage by the regular mail system. I did have a missing package and it had to be the post office. I got the "delivered message" but not to me. I got it straight by calling and I got credit.

It seems more mistakes these days then ever before.

Now this happened about 15 years ago. I had bought something and never received it. I contacted the company and they re-sent. After research it turns out that UPS had sent it to my old address for whatever reason...we had moved in the previous year or so. So by now some period of time has gone by. I contacted the new homeowner, who was a friend I might add, and she says oh yeah, we got that awhile ago...I just threw it in the room. It's there. And laughs. Not a piece of junk mail...a package! So I had her set it up with UPS and the company to return it to them. Point being, people are funny....it may have been delivered to the wrong address and the people are just hanging on to it.

These mail people are always in a hurry and don't know or care where they put stuff.

couple of yrs. ago they delivered a Q gold bracelet that I paid around 450 or so and it went to next door neighbor. She never opened it and bought it over.

After that little incident I got a big rock and had my last name put on it and another square big rock and had numbers of house on it and put stickers on the mailbox. I've made it so nice for them Stevie Wonder could tell who lives there.

Happened to me once, and it was delivered to the wrong address, not stolen. It took a long time to find out, but the seller had already sent me a replacement.

Also. I once received someone else's package. The person lived on another street altogether and the name in no way resembled my own. The phone number was public, so I called the person up rather than continue the madness or wrong delivery , and they came to pick up the package. It was a very large package containing multiple items of clothing for christmas presents to children, according to the woman. She was grateful, but a little perturbed.

I really with UPS would knock, especially if it's after dark. Yesterday I had something coming by UPS and there had been a delay with trucks getting over the pass, so it didn't get loaded until after 9am.

Ok, that was fine but it created a slight delay. But the tracking said that it would still be delivered yesterday. I hated feeling like I had to wait and kept looking out like I was paranoid or something.

As much as I was watching I still missed it, as it was delivered just before 10pm. The only reason I knew was that, since I was not on the computer that late, I went on my iPod to check email and saw the delivery email from UPS.

Luckily the regular drivers don't, but the few who do would get to listen to some choice words if I managed to get up and get to the door before they were gone!

Good thing is that I usually know a package is arriving. So I just roll over and check online, then go back to sleep (or go retrieve it if it's something really exciting/valuble).

They just ring my doorbell and run for the van. LOL You can buy doorbells now that don't have to be electrically installed. They will just hit the button and run off.

I never have to sign for nothing any more these days, so, funny, I had a kitchen aid beater coming and so I opened the door to the man and signed for a mixer beater. LOL

@CareBears You can't track QVC packages on the UPS site until they actually receive them. I think QVC uses another means for iinitial part of the shipment journey. Mine usually show up at a UPS hub a few days after QVC ships them and 1-2 days before it reaches the local UPS office. If USPS is delivering the package, the USPS tracking code shows towards the bottom of the USP page. Once they've handed it over to USPS, you have to that code on the USPS screen. After a few times you'll figure how long the USPS takes to deliver. For me, local UPS transfers it to USPS too late to make that day's truck, so I get it the next day. USPS tracking can take till they're processing mail the next morning to show up.

By the way, if UPS screen shows "delivered," it typically means "delivered" to USPS (since that's where they are delivering it to). It's "delivered" on the USPS screen that you're looking for.

Ours here in Tx is good about it, plus, I'll get an email saying "your pkg has been delivered" and I go "what, it has"? then, I'll run to front door and there it is. LOL

Do they still make those red lettered tiny signs that you can put around your doorbell that says "Please ring the bell"? You have to train these men LOL
