My last name has 10 letters and 1 vowel. The vowel is the 9th letter. People haven't a clue ,how to pronounce it.

My last name has only 5 letters and should be easy to pronounce, but 9 out of 10 people get it wrong!

Anonymity is wonderful, so thanks for the reminder not to say too much! Let's see.... Through my father's mother, I am descended from Puritans who arrived in America in about 1633 and who founded or were among early leaders of towns from Springfield, Mass., to New Haven and Milford, CT, and I am related to FDR. (We have the same many-times great-grandmother!) On Dad's paternal side, we claim a signer of the Constitution. Well, I think those tidbits are surprising!

I was arrested back in the day...twice!

Once for vagrancy when I, my friends and about 200 others neglected to secure hotels rooms for Mardi Gras, so we slept in the park...a $25 fine...it was a rude awakening, I tell ya!

The second time was a little bit more...complicated. I accepted a ride home from a co-worker in the new car her boyfriend gave her...which turned out to be stolen...which I found out about at the point of a gun when we made a quick stop at the Projects to make a (ahem) purchase. We tried to get the heck out of Dodge, but someone called the police about the gun and we were arrested and taken to Wayne County Jail. After I was searched by Helga the Tatooed Matron...an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy...and the bars slammed shut, I was called back out to be interviewed by the FBI because my co-worker's I.D. matched someone wanted by them for "air piracy" (now known as hijacking)...mistaken identity, but still. I cried the entire time until I was released in the morning. The judge threw everything out because it was patently obvious I was an innocent dupe...my record was expunged...I still have my fingerprint card and my mug shot. I never complained again about having to take the bus to and from work.

I kid you not.

No one who knows me now believes this when I tell them. My life in my early twenties is a cautionary tale, pure and simple.

When nursing in S.F. - and being one of only two heterosexuals in a 40 person clinic - rode on back of my female Drs motorbike, fishnet tights, leather shorts, boots and leather waistcoat plus earrings nothing else needless to say at the Gay Parade. DH met us at Civic Center afterwards to party!

I want to be in a commercial or a voice in a commercial so badly!

If something comes on tv while I am watching I will say it the script word for word while it is on LOL!

I sing commercial jingles too.

It can get pretty rediculous at times because as you know there are tons of commercials.

I know my neighbors must of thought I was a wacko!

Lol! They want to make it complicated and give it a foreign accent! A first grader who has had basic phonics would have no trouble with it. It's the people with the most education who try to tweak it.

When I got married ,my shoe size, and ring size, were both a 3, now they are a 5.
