Presenters who sound like they’re yelling. Drives me crazy.

Have you ever noticed product presenters sound like they’re yelling when making the presentation?

It drives me crazy.

Do you know why they do that?

Is it because the demographics of QVC viewers are elderly and hard of hearing?

Or do I simply need to just turn my TV volume down?

I think a thread that starts with the OP asking “which hosts do you find the

worse [sic]?” is likely to be removed by the Mods for being “baiting” or just negative and pointless. Who really thinks it’s a good idea to list the worst hosts, using criteria you set up as the ones who yell?

Turn the volume down. Or turn the channel. And pick more constructive topics for posting.

She yells not speaks, and clap her hands very often like she doesn't know how sensitive those mics are

I just turned the channel - wasn't going to buy any LOGO anyways - so why listen to all that talk-over-talk from two women and the volume was beyond decent. That's why I watch less and less.

@EatWellWho says the QVC demographics are for the "elderly" population? Cannot imagine wearing most of the stuff they show! To me, it borders on maternity wear to cover buldges they are trying to hide, which only mades the wearer look heavier. I'm 69, tall and slim. I wouldn't wear tunics (to cover my figure), layer countless items of mismatched colors/hemlines or shapeless pull-on pants ever. Nor would I wear the synthic fibers from with the clothes are made. It's a younger generation buying the mystery materials who don't/won't care for their clothing! The "older population" was brought up with classic clothing, in natural fibers, and still cares for their clothing well. Some of us continue to iron our cotton shirts, which are not found on QVC! Yes, we do shop many other places. IMO its the younger shoppers who have turned QVC into mostly make-up and throw-away clothing. It didn't used to be such a shopping channel. Formerly, we found top-notch quality with the best fabrications used in the business, as well as the most exquisite seaming details. Hasn't happened in a very long time. Today's younger customer doesn't want quality items and isn't willing to pay for them. I'll shop brick and mortar.

BTW: I don't consider myself CLOSE to elderly! Retirement is a great time of life. What a offensive statement. Get your sources before posting such an ignorant statement!

A lot of them (hosts and vendors) are too loud and or have voices and speaking habits that I find very annoying! I don't want people in my home shouting at me, so I sure don't want them on tv to shout at me lol. QVC never used to be like this. Sad. Some of them aren't so bad when they are presenting on their own, but when you add in someone else, it can become hard to listen to with the speed talking and shouting.

Yes, those hosts who clap their hands 3" away from their lapel mike cause reverberation in my ears. This happened yesterday so I had to add another host to my list that I can not longer watch.... she also bellowed a big "Yahoooo" during the presentation which echoed in my head. Why don't the show's producers instruct them not to do this!
