I'm sorry I have to apologize first. The CEO of QVC is a boring man. I know of his background from NWU and really you cannot get anything interesting from that. Please give us some lively programming and not conservative programming. We ladies need to be fed lively offeirings. Spice it up Mr. George. It's Christmas.

Any time one “has to apologize first”, whatever is said after that should not be.

The CEO is proclaimed a “boring man” - and zero details as to why are given. “I know of his background from NWU and really you cannot get anything interesting from that” - or sense from that wandering, disjointed sentence.

Many posters on these forums would strongly disagree that what QVC on air needs in any way is “lively” programming of any sort. QVC needs personable hosts who are neither hysterical nor “out there” who do their job helping to sell a vendor’s product in a cheerful, genuine way, who neither put us to sleep or are fingernails on a blackboard.

Unless the OP is insinuating she’d like to see the CEO on air doing a Chippendale’s routine, nothing makes sense here.

If some of the hosts become any livier they could take their acts on the road and I would be saying good bye!

The Q is a shopping channel with sales people and vendors selling products/items. What I would hope for is a clear and full description of what is being sold by the vendor, sizes and colors given but not every five seconds, what the product does and how it works. In the fashion department I would expect someone like Mackie or Dell'Olio to take charge as they are seasoned designers.

When I go into a store (which I prefer) I ask for help when necessary and most sales people will help or find someone who knows. They don't dance, sing, tell me about their lives, aren't silly or talking at the top of their lungs, repeating the same old sales pitches and do not have to entertain me. My shopping experiences are quiet, stress free and positive for the most part.

To each their own, whether you shop at the Q or in the stores enjoy the experience!!!

He's a typical MBA with an accountant's viewpoint. His outlook is reflected in QVC's programming. I dont understand why the stockholders put up with it. Just when the need imagination and innovation, they get Mike George. Theyre going to stumble badly in the industry if the dont wake up.
