What a mess Qvc ordering has become. Before his show on July 15th I ordered the diffuser set with refills. Of course it went to advance ordering before his show. Well 2 months later still on advanced order and no one knows when I will ever get them. But the y send out the candles

July 31 when I ordered these it said on the page the estimated delivery date. Sep 22. I think they said that too. Wonder if these are what you are asking about? Next week we should get them. Let's hope so for your sake.

I have the slatkin acorns and tealight on advanced order and it says estimated delivery date to be 9/25 (it used to say 9/22).

I had 2 others of his on advance order that were delivered this past weekend.

I do think they will come.

They said that his TSV and many others of his would be on advance order and originally they said 9/15.

This was so they wouldn't be shipped in the hot of summer he said.

So I do think they will come.

I hope they hold the candles due to this heat wave, they will melt in this heat.

I got my candles last Friday. They were packaged very nicely,secure and although it is still hot, they were fine(not soft) I have not used them yet but the scent is very strong, u can just smell it when opening the box. The jar is very nice,heavy and can be used again. You will not be sorry to order these candles, they are expensive, but I think the quality is worth it. I got mine with free s/h then, but its now $5.50.

Please post another review after you burn them. Sometimes candles have a strong cold throw but not so much when burned. I'd be interested what you think. TIA.

No they won,t. Mine came with 111 degree on from porch and it was Ok. My garage just as hot and I have the BBC candles onshelves and they don,t melt either. I think they do advance to see if they get enough orders.

So, I ordered the Holiday 2pk diffuser with 4 refills back in July. It was Advanced Order with a ship out date of September 15th. As of this morning, my order hasn't even processed and there seems to be no explanation as to what the issue is. Sometimes, delivery date is considered when I place an order. In this case, I was planning to give as a gift when my guests arrives on Monday.

That is so interesting that you said that about the "cold throw."

I noticed that about Ellen's 3 acorn candles. They have an incredibly strong but wonderful scent when unlit but when you light them, they are not very strong.

I wonder why that happens.

The Slatkin ones, the small TSV votives, fill the entire bathroom when lit,(a very small room), I love the Frozen Balsam and Deck the Halls!

@tucsongal the sugar plum has a very good throw, I can smell it upstairs, it burns evenly. I light it about one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. My Husband even likes it and made positive comments.

I have not watched any Slatkin shows since he's been back on Q, but have always liked his candles. However, I notice many of the scents - by their titles - are simply variations on what he did for BBW. And, from looking over Youtube reviews of them from people who have them and have reviewed them, are close, even if not identical to those he did for BBW.

So, why not just go to BBW and get the close ones? They are much cheaper (esp. with all the special offers/coupons for BBW) and you also won't have to deal with breakage. They can't be that much better than the very similar ones at BBW can they? I'm thinking that BBW is still using his formulas for the very similar ones (i.e. they still have leaves, fireside whatever, lots of them that are very similar!).

I received my set of two three wick candles yesterday. They were sent directly from the manufacture, not in a QVC box. Thery were packaged very securely and made it in the Texas heat. Scent is wonderful and can't wait to use them during the holidays.

@Pearlee, your idea sounds good, but u get what u pay for. The candles at BBW are not the same, thats why they cost less. the oils, throw,,size, burn, wicks, containers etc are MUCH BETTER with Slakin. I have tried the BBW ones and they don't compare to Slakins. If they were comparable, I would have gone with the BBW and paid less for them. Others may not agree but thats my opinion. Maybe you should try the BBW ones and decide/make a decision. Please let us know if u do.

@Tylerpoo I have a ton of BBW candles - both from when Slatkin made them for BBW and afterwards. As I posted above, I thought given the similarities in scents I've see on the Youtube reviews, BBW may well be using Slatkin's old "recipes" for the candles.

I meant in my earlier post that I realize BBW may not be the same as Slatkins' sold on QVC and Slatkins' may be better, but are they really that much better to make up the price difference and hazards of shipping & handling (breakage) and the added cost of S&H? BBW similar scents may be inferior to Slatkins' current candles, but are they that much more inferior to make up the price differential (higher cost plus S&H costs)?

I got the TSV and also 2 of the 3 wicks. Holy cow are they aromatic when lit! And he's not kidding when he said you don't have to trim the wicks. They are truly terrific, I think.

I have loved Slatkin candles, but my BBW candle in the kitchen smelled better than Harry,s Fireside one. I think BBW,just as good.

I've burned the toasted vanilla, the one that smells like candy canes, the banana maple pancakes, and one of the Christmas tree ones....they all smell great and permeate a good length of my house. I think when he was presenting them the idea was to burn the two candles at the same time-that's why he paired them the way he did. I just burn one, though, and it still smells wonderful in my house - windows open and all!
