Show hosts should not try to compete with Kim G.'s energy!

I really like watching Kim Gravel, but today I noticed that Sharon amped herself up and tried to match Kim's energy.........she kept talking over Kim and I couldn't understand most of what she was saying...........very annoying. Kim is great on her own, but hosts come off as phony when they try to match her.............they should take a step back and let Kim do Kim...........jmo.

That's Sharon's hosting style, I think she wants the vendor to feel that they are a good pairing, and in good hands. She tries to match the vendor's personality. Sharon was extremely effusive with the Peace Love World vendor this morning as well. It's a smart selling tactic, as long as it results in high sales.

Kim Gravel would be fabulous hosting her own TV show with a "girl talk" kind of forum/focus. She's a combination of Joan Rivers, Phyllis Diller, Totie Fields, etc.

You are completely correct. I can't believe someone remembers Totie Fields. I loved her.

Right? I can remember watching her on Ed Sullivan, Merv Griffin shows. My favorite line of hers was when she was so sick at the end of her life, having had so many health setbacks, and they brought her out in a wheelchair and she quipped, "I've wanted to say this all my life: I weigh less than Elizabeth Taylor!".....she was the best.

Here's another name from the past that Kim Gravel reminds me of: Virginia Graham. Kim even looks like her.

I like Kim and I agree that she is hands-on with her products quality ...my comment refers to the hosts behavior. I thought Sharon hindered more than she helped today.

@luvmybeetle I remember Totie Fields too! I even met one of her daughters at a party...we're talking the early 70s and I was a teen living in NJ.

I can only watch Kim for a few minutes - too much shouting and screeching. Must say, I ordered her jean jacket and love it!

I remember Totie Fields - she was so funny. Also remember Virgiia Graham's talk show and watched it with my mother.

I really enjoy watching Kim. She's just a real gal like the rest of us. I love that she doesn't take things too seriously or put on airs. I bet she would be fun to go shopping with...she makes me laugh whenever I watch her.

Kim Gravel is such a funny and endearing lady! I like Shawn, too. They're both pretty down-to-earth and self-effacing at times. I like that about them.
