I usually watch at midnight to see what the TSV will be. Tonight I told my husband that

I will not be watching today. Just the short 5 minutes I had it on with Susan Graver

talking over everyone a mile a minute gave me a headache. Can't take her loud continuous voice. That does not make me want to purchase a product.

I can't watch her for more than a few minutes but I have to say that I have 3 pairs of her slacks, because they come in petites, 2 are several years old, one black one brown and I reached for them often, really got quite a bit of mileage out of them but I packed on a few pounds this past year and the zippers.....well I can't get them up, actually I could get them up but then wouldn't be able to breathe. Ordered a pair about a month or so ago, I'm talking dressier type black pants a size up from the old ones and a different style as the ones I have must have been discontinued and they're a good fit. They'll work till I get rid of this 10 extra pounds then it'll be back to the older ones which are a great quality, have worn well and easy care.

Susan Graver pants fit me better than any other line at QVC. There is, I believe, an art to learning how to order a size that fits, which totally depends on the fabric, cut, and specific garment measurements. Once you get that down, it's easier to buy pants from Q than anywhere else. Talbots and Lands End are the only other places I've found where I can reliably get the size right. And, I love Susan Graver on her shows. I get bored with vendors that aren't as enthusiastic and talkative. Different strokes for different folks, right? 👧

OK, OK. . . we all agree that SG talks incessantly, but so do I when

I am passionate about something. At least she is upbeat and pleasant. I love her clothing and will continue to purchase the pieces that work for me.

My my only issue with SG, and it is, in fact, an issue for me with every designer at the Q, is why are the clothes not shown on true plus size models? Models who wear a size XL are not, IMO a true plus size, but more representative of real life women. If a designer or company is going to make, sell and profit from clothing in sizes up to 3X, they should show women who are purchasing these sizes how the clothing will look on them. Granted, clothing looks and drapes more attractively on a tall, thin frame. But if you are

going to sell to a 3X woman, make profit from a 3X woman and speak to how "this garment is flattering to every size and every woman and every body type" (as so many of the designers do), then put your profit where your mouth is and show your fashions on true plus size, 2X and 3X sized models.

Hugs. . .

You know, you're right! I'm 5'5 and a size 4 or 6, but if I couldn't have someone close to my size, there is NO WAY I could decide if something would be good on me. I also think that it would be great to always have a senior modeling too! I'm fifty and sometimes I forget that and I buy something that the models had on and then I get it home, put it on and ask myself if I saw a friend in it would I think it was too young on them? I know we're supposed to dress for ourselves, but if I didn't care what people thought about my clothes, I wouldn't be spending so much time trying to choose a nice outfit. I think a 2X size model would be a good in between plus size.

I am glad to see that this post that started out as a Susan bash has turned into something more positive. Frankly I am more tired of all the Susan bashing. She is no worse than many of the other vendors/hosts. She has built a very successful business and is an accomplished designer and artist. Since she has been on QVC for 27 years and is their best selling designer evidently more people like her than those who don't and her sales approach along with quality clothes has much to do with her success. She gets involved with her presentations showing how items work with each other and pointing out details. She is vibrant, enthusiastic and really enjoys her work. She has not only been successful in her work, but also in her life - a healthy, young looking, but age appropriate woman with a great family in addition to enjoyable work. I just don't understand the need for some to downgrade others. If you don't like her, don't watch her. Problem solved. At least her shows are interesting and informative and you end up with a great wardrobe!

I'll pass on these slacks. For one thing they are tooooo baggy. I prefer my slacks more tailored. The pockets add inches to your hips. Just like her french terry skorts do. For a designer who supposedly started out making pants, she does not do a good job in a lot of her designs. Oh, yeah. I also turn off the sound when SG is on. That is even if I watch her shows. Don't like all the grabby, tugging on the FABRIC (not fabrication) while on the models. She is just not my cup of tea.

I like the TSV pants, and her pants fit well. But my beef is with the length. I am 5' 5 1/2" tall. I could not be a more average height. But I no longer wear heels. An inseam of 31" is just too long for me. I need 29". I refuse to buy pants that I have to hem. All the models were wearing big heels.

The petite size would not only be too short, they would not fit well due to a shorter rise. Susan said the petites are proportioned with a smaller rise. So why would she suggest to buy a regular and a petite for the shorter length, if you are not really a petite person?
