Why is QVC showing photos of products not carried on QVC?

Why is QVC showing photos of products they are not carrying? I have come across this a few times now, and am very disappointed. I really liked a purse I saw in the picture with the "new bags and boots" heading.... but could not find them when clicking the link. A chat representative stated that it was just a picture and that they dont carry that actual bag.

Tonight, it happened twice. In "must haves" the blue plaid cardigan is not an actual product, and neither is the blue top with 3/4 grommet and bell sleeves............ Why in the world would you show pictures of items you dont actually have ???? I find it ridiculous...........

I have complained about this same thing before to no avail. It is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of and yet it is QVC so why am I surprised?

I believe that is considered false advertising and if the point were pushed it could be trouble for QVC.

That really is very frustrating. But I cannot see any advantage to QVC for intentionally doing this.

My guess is that either the item already sold out, or it's one of those "Top Finds" where they don't actually make it available online until the day they intend to sell it.

I have had the same experience. I do not understand why they do this either and was given no explanation by the rep on chat

Also, when they recommend items based on past purchases---one I was interested in is on waitlist and has been for some time.

@boni b, The blue plaid sweater shown under the fashion must haves is A295811. It was in the September Inside Q. It is an Isaac cardigan. I'm hoping it will show up soon. I think Isaac has a TSV on Friday 9/1 so while it is not the TSV perhaps it will be added then. It also comes in black, sand, and vivid plum

I find "teaser" pictures frustrating if you do see them on the first product page when you have clicked on the link. The picture did its job, but then scrolling on and on and not finding it has happened to me one too many times. So I quit. Wonder if this topic has been posted in Suggestion Box.
