i did not know where to post this

was told to type in lower case im 88 sometimes its hard for me to see it said i was shouting i see others posting in capitials so now i will post lower case i hope that person sees this we all are not perfect i guess that person is

@elizabethl123. . . . I understand there are some sort of "rules" or something, but quite frankly I'm much more interested in what you, or any other poster, has to say than how it is typed or whether there are spelling/grammar errors. IMO, that equates to focusing on someone's appearance instead of what they are saying if you are speaking with them face to face.

Don't let it bother you. Just continue to post from your heart, and those who truly want to read what you have to say will do so with an open heart and open mind.

Frankly, I would post the way I wanted to. Most people here understand when someone has a sight problem and will give you the benefit of the doubt. I have cataracts so I understand. Just like now....I can see this darker print much better than the post title above. Once in a while there is good reason to "buck the system"!! Happy posting!

My friend, post the way it works best for you! The most important thing is your voice is heard! If you look above when you are posting, you'll see Font Sizes and a little arrow. Click on the arrow, and numbers come up so you can increase your font (print) size. I just increased my font size to 4. That may be a solution for you. In any case, the most important thing is your voice is heard! Know you are welcome here!

I always do my fonts in 4.......reading issue for me too..!!

Do what is comfortable!

@elizabethl123 Some people just need to feel bigger and better than others by pointing out others faults. I notice on this website many posters feel the need to correct another posters english, or spelling. or as in your case the type of font they use.

These people who need to correct others are just weak, insecure individuals who like to make others feel less than and weak as they are. It makes them feel better putting others down.

Just know that not all of us here feel the need to put others down for such petty things... it is just a few who like to ruin it for everyone. They are like a bad apple in the bunch....there is always going to be one or two. Just smile and go on with your day and know that many others here enjoy what you have to say... not how you say it!!

Adeline, first let me day that I am impressed that at 88 years young, you post at all. Many seniors don't want to learn new technology, so good for you. As others here have said, do what makes you comfortable and continue to post in a way that is good for you. There is always someone who thinks they know better, just ignore them.

@jubilant Hey, I just got my cataracts removed last June. PLEASE get yours removed and replaced with good lenses.........it's like a whole new world now; I don't even need glasses for anything!

I have an appointment with my eye doctor in September. I am so glad your experience was positive. I'm a little apprehensive about having my eyes messed with since they both need to be done. I know they only do one at a time.....but still. Thanks for letting me know how well yours went. I appreciate your encouraging post.

I can understand cataracts. Had mine removed about 10 years ago and the world opened up. Now I have to learn how to do dark print on posting. God Bless the 88 year old poster. I,m 81 and hope to reach 88 and still post and be interested. Shame on those that are critical.. Just figured out bold print.

POst the way you want. At 81, I understand. We are lucky to be posting, and still interested in communicating. I forget how to spell sometime. Welcome to these post. Careful, some very nice, some get mean, only a few unhappy ones, most nice and understanding.

@jubilant Girl, don't hesitate to do it, but it's very important to have a good doc with lots of experience. If you can afford the extra cost (not cheap), I recommend the premium, multi-focal lenses like I got. Insurance covers only the basic lenses and the actual surgery. The premium lenses are optional, but you won't need glasses with those. I was able to see brighter colors and 20/20 the very next day. I was wide awake during the entire procedure, but I didn't feel anything and only saw the bright laser light. They did mine exactly 2 weeks apart, but I could see so much better even after just the first one was done. I was riding my bike later that same day!
