Question for Mod's?

Do the posters that write "unkind" posts loose their posting ability? It seems like they would and save you time to help others. Just curious, thank you.

I'm sorry but that is a question my 5 yr old would have asked. It never occurred to me to be concerned about another poster's ability to post or not post.

No. Some posters are repeat offenders...almost 2 or 3 times a week. If they are constantly reported by other posters, I think they should lose their posting privileges for a few days until they learn to play nicely.

The ones I'm referring to have been here under the same name for quite awhile. They keep the same name because they're proud that they can attempt to "scare" posters off.

@Jackhound Mom I often wish people could be banned for constant negativity. With nothing ever good to say about QVC, why even be here other than to stir things up?

It would be a ban for all the "inappropriate" posts.

I never see the nasty poster's names because they have already been moved. I thought the Mod that moved them would know and stop them from continuing to write "unkind" things.

To me this is a worthy question. Some people have no manners.

It might be alot more fun here if there were positives! I re-read the "rules" but nothing is really mentioned about "unkind."

Maybe this will be looked at and answered soon.

"Unkind" is in the eye of the beholder. There are an increasing number of posters that find the stating of contrary opinions or positions as "unkind" (or worse) attacks against them.

I am sometimes reminded of kids that were raised believing the sun rises and sets on them; then when they go out into the real world and find out not everyone adores them they are crushed.

Unfortunately, however, there are some posts that are intentionally unkind, sometimes even cruel. Those posts are usually targeting an individual poster or group of posters and there is no doubt about the intent.

Well said! I do remember one about Susan Graver a few weeks ago and I put my 2 cents in. When I came back the thread was there but the comment was gone. It was a bash and I should have turned it in. I'll do it from now on. Still learning.

Maybe the Mods could leave the names of the nasty posters and just remove the post and then we would know who to avoid.

@sweetee2 Well I think the pot-stirrers just really crave attention. Their lives must be very empty to have to come here and try so hard to draw attention to themselves by stirring things up with their negative comments about things that obviously many people here enjoy who are legitimate QVC shoppers.

I agree with this statement. That's life. I don't believe in censoring opinions. There are some who may sound rude, but sometimes there is something constructive in their criticism. I would hate to see those comments removed. I rather ignore these few posters being referred to. What I hate most are the ones here who try to engage with them. That's a lot more irritating to read than what the OP said.

Best thing one can do -- ignore, don't respond (because if you do it's like feeding them and giving them power), and move on knowing you were the stronger person.
