I just do not understand why there is a QVC2. Other than to sell more mechandise, I don't see the need. There are only so many hours in a day. Plus, it is not in HD and is so grainy looking. One reason I do not watch HSN...no HD.

I would guess that "sell more merchandise" would be reason enough. By the way, HSN is in HD where I live, though QVC2 is not.

QVC is in business to sell. They are apprarently financially successful, which is why they continue to add channels. Supply and demand.

I like it when each channel is featuring different products . When I shake my head is when both channels have the TSV. Why??

Most of the shows are the same, and the TSV. QVC2 needs to have different products then QVC live. QVC2 is boring besides ITKWM. I wish Mary D. hosted more of these shows on QVC2.

You answered your own question -- to sell more merchandise.

This morning I watched a new Live 2-hour "Christmas in July" show (10am -12pm EST) with Antonella on QVC2, while Dan Hughes sold the Ring TSV on the main QVC channel. Right now, there's a Live Susan Graver show on QVC2, while ITKWD is on QVC. Works for me!

I watch QVC2 online from QVC website link.

I like Q2 on Sunday the best. I don't watch ITKWD.
Q2 has fashion on at that time.
Can't beat it!

@imagemd Bingo! There's only one reason for QVC2 or 3 or 10 - and you hit it. They're trying to sell more merchandise.

Isn't that the same reason there's a CVS and a Walgreen's on practically every corner in lots of places? Or 5 Publix or 4 Wegman's within a 5-mile circle?

Even when there was just QVC before there was much else in the shopping channel kingdom, the real purpose of whatever they did was to sell more merchandise. Still is - and that's true at HSN and Evine and JTV and any other company you can name.

Why is Amazon having PrimeDay? It's certainly not to be generous to their customers - it's to sell more stuff to them - and if some of that "stuff" turns out to be a bargain, so be it.

I always wondered if QVC even did a marketing test to see how many cable companies do not even carry QVC2? Or Beauty IQ? We get neither.

It seems many people who do get those channels aren't watching them. They may be cut eventually.

Today is RING day, every time I turn to QVC, they are presenting the TSV

So now I can flip over to Q2 or Beauty IQ

I live in Chicago with Comcast. We do not get QVC 2. We do get HSN2 - surprising as QVC is twice as big as HSN. Only reason I would watch QVC2 is to see Louis Dell Olio when he presents his clothing.
