You are doing such a great job as a host. You are refereshing, have a pleasant sounding voice, you are prepared, and you let the vendor speak.

She definitely found her niche, didn't she? I think she is a great host and am glad that QVC recognized her talents when she was "assisting" David.

I remember when Mary started as producer of In the Kitchen With David. Then when QVC began this social media connection during certain shows we strated to hear more from her as she was handling the online chat and inquiries. Someone in power definitely got it right when Mary was brought on stage to the set and given on air duties, and the decision to make her a full time host gets a rousing cheer from me.

What a lovely thread to start. Yes, I totally agree, Mary is a great host. Keeps everything interesting (as best as one can when presenting a can opener, for example), wonderful sense of humor, realizes she works for QVC and represents them so well.

One of my favorites! I like it that she is on in the middle of the night when I can't sleep, it is a joy to watch her.

I liked her but now find her to be overly pleasant and after awhile her lisp gets to me, then I have to turn her off

All of the people I know or the children I work with who have a lisp would stop it if they could. Why do we have to post something about someone who has for a lack of better term, a disability or they talk differently?? You could have stopped with "I like her." None of us are perfect!! Geesh!

And in another thread, this poster asked if anyone knew what surgery Mary was having - along with a totally unrelated "question." So, as was asked in that thread - why would this poster care, if they don't even like Mary? And she hasn't returned to that thread to comment or thank posters for the answers to her "questions."

IMO, looking for popular things/people to drip on because it will get reactions.

I agree @wvumountiefan. I was always taught when you say something that starts out seemingly as a compliment and add the word "but", you completely negate the positive.

I enjoy watching Mary on her own and also with David. She has that "it factor." David does too--a quick wit and a selling style that can't be replicated. They both own it when they are on the air which is hard to do.
