Wow. A comparable light at BB&B is $32 ($40 minus 20% coupon, and free shipping). QVC's price is $77.50 including S&H, or 142% more than BB&B.

It'll be interesting what the claims for and about the lamp there are from the vendor and QVC.

Any healthful benefit claimed whatever is walking a tightrope as far as truth in advertising. It's a pretty rock with a light bulb in it, that provides...a pretty rock with a lightbulb in it.

Google what snopes dotcom has to say about salt lamps, and google what Dr. Andrew Weil has to say, for two.

TODAY show's doctors January 2017:

"While salt lamps, which are available at Whole Foods, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Amazon.com and more, may not have proven health benefits — they do look pretty, and it's not crazy to think the orange or pinkish glow can be calming and relaxing.

"I love they way they look, the soft light, the pure aesthetic of them is beautiful," Dr. Kogan said.

"So while we recommend you take the health benefits of salt lamps with a grain of, um, salt, the lamps still make for beautiful additions to any home. Though you should shop with caution: Three rock salt lamps sold under the Lumiere brand were recalled this month due to shock and fire hazards."
