The only familiar name on your list is LIsa. The others must be from lonnnnngggggg ago! And I have been watching qvc off and on for ten years now!

Nothing against the current QVC hosts, but they are more generic types. It's a different time , in the early days the hosts worked on their own,, and had to carry the presentations. It was a new industry and they were pioneers with unique personalities and talents. Just as the products were different, so were the hosts. I know that many younger viewers are tired of hearing about the good old days, but if you are very lucky you will live long enough to remember your own good old days.

Most of those named have been gone for years. For example, Mike Rowe left in the early 1990s.

I don't understand why people think the Q should be for entertainment purposes. You're not supposed to sit and watch, you're supposed to pick up the phone and buy.

Not much you can do with a rocker, other than fall asleep.

That's why they call it a "lazy boy"

Sure I remember them well, and I do agree that the hosts played a more important part to me back then. For one thing, it was rare to have a vendor rep selling the product for them - now all hosts do is steer the conversation and tell how many are still in stock.

If QVC isn't entertaining or at least interesting, why would you be watching to know when to "pick up the phone to buy?"

I keep it on mainly for pleasant noise. They don't yell and scream like some talk shows.

Years ago I watched a lot more....I was working so had more disposable income, and ordered often. Now I'm retired and on a fixed income, I order infrequently. And as I've aged I just don't want or need as much. The salesperson/host has never been the inspiration for my purchases. Need and/or desire for a particular item and price determine whether or not I buy something.

If not there for entertainment purposes, then QVC should only be a website, like Amazon to sell their stuff, am I right??

If you are going to sit there & listen to presentation, the presenter is important.

There are dozens of selling channels & infomericals, you can't tell me if the presenter grates on your nerves you're going to buy?

Nope you will flip the channel

I think they're more "generic" now too @QVCkitty1. It was very different early on.

Change can be good but QVC is more of a long repeated infomercial now which I'm not sure is good. For me anyway lol.
