Why do hosts wear 5-6" heels? Come on! Wear "regular woman" shoes

My humble opinion: 5-6" heels are for the runway, not everyday life. We all know that clothes "communicate" and what do 5-6" heels say? (Even 4" heels!)? When I see women in them, I think they clearly don't have a brain, they think men like them and that's so important that they'd live in pain (and, therefore they lack self-esteem), and they must be a bit slow--(physically because they can't run if they need to and mentally because smart women usually wear "walkable" shoes). So why do the QVC hosts insist on wearing them? Since they sell to women, shouldn't they try to relate to women?

Unless they are modeling shoes, I don't think their shoes or heels should matter. JMO.

I can't tell you how much it annoys me to hear Lisa tell us how much her feet hurt!! No joke? You're wearing shoes that are practically stilts on hard cement flooring but your vanity is more important.....give me a break lady!!! Look in the mirror already....you're NOT the 20 year old beauty pageant kid any longer.....God knows you can afford appropriate shoes...stop being STUPID!!!

I wear Orthaheel slippers in the house and my feet are fine. I wore some Orthaheel slip-ons out shopping yesterday for about 5 hrs. and my feet were screaming last night.

That's what a lot of women do. If they wore more sensible shoes then the critics would be out in force saying they are dowdy and inappropriate looking. Look at how Jill is criticized and Shawn for the flat shoes. Some women like them and can walk well in them and don't have a problem because they wear their correct size. It doesn't mean they are brainless - just that they like good looking shoes. When I hear a statement like that I think the one that said it clearly doesn't have a working brain!! I will still wear them on the rare occasion I do dress formally or with jeans when I want to look and feel good. I won't, however, wear a shoe that doesn't feel comfortable anymore.

Shawn and I have ver y similar taste in footwear. I can't tell you how many times I've seen her and realized I have the same boots! I love my nice equestrian style boots/ UGGS/ lace up boots etc.

I've broken my ankles a few times, resulting in surgeries/special casts etc. Nothing is worse then having your ankle twist and you hear that awful POP sound! When I see women in really high heels, I cringe thinking about them breaking/ripping bones/ligaments! It's not worth it to me.

Spring, summer, early fall, I would have. I'm in the Midwest with tons of snow all around me and pretty cold temperatures.

They can wear what ever type of shoes they want, but when they can't walk in them, they look ridiculous. Sometimes you see Lisa wear them and try to walk over to the models and it's not a good look. It takes away from the look they think they are portraying, as it's not glamorous, attractive, graceful, ladylike or sexy.

If only I could still wear the high heels. I love them but age and back surgery prevent me from being able to wear them anymore. I miss my high heels and if the hosts love them, let them wear them. What is wrong with you people complaining about their shoes now too??? I don't get it.

I think there must be an epidemic of late winter -itis going around. Yesterday I saw a post saying that only women over 70 should be carrying Dooney bags or rather the Dooney bags look like they should only be carried by women over 70. Now, we have a poster judging the intelligence of other women based on the height of their heels?! Oh boy!! I think we need some SADD therapy here!

I can walk in heels up to 3 inches, think some clothes look better with them. It is what separates us from men besides skirts IMO. Women don't look like women anymore.

Yes, I'm a Birkenstock person too. Did the heel thing when I was in my 20's and now I'm paying the piper for that little venture. Now a days, it's all I can wear. In the end they just break your back anyway.
