Anyone ever watched JTV?

I know Qvc can be boring annoying etc.. I know we have at least one complaint about every host, but has anyone watched this JTV? Every woman has the same voice. THE SAME VOICE! ANNOYING! I can't watch for more than a minute or so!

Yes I do watch JTV on occasion and have been happy with my purchases, and they do offer more variety than QVC does with their jewelry offerings....(not as much bronzo, and more gem variety).....

The JTV hosts are mostly from TN and perhaps their southern accents make them all sound the same. Some of their hosts do a good job with their presentations, and yes others get on my nerves, and are downright annoying, but these days I'm finding a few are less annoying than some QVC hosts and their antics (see the THREAD about squealing hosts)....so I guess its pick your personal poison....

I have purchased from JTV but I can't watch them. There is something about their style that bugs me. It's almost like it's like they are the extreme opposite end of the spectrum from some of the Q hosts. JTV doesn't have dancing, twirling, maniacal hosts/guests talking over each other and acting foolish. Perhaps we need to blend the styles of Q and Jtv Hosts?

I bought a hematite necklace for about $29 that looks just like black diamonds. Love it.

From jtv I enjoy watching Jennifer Connelly, she is so polished and well spoken. Libby Floyd , who used to be on SHOPNBC but is now at jtv, is another pretty well spoken host. However i cannot stand when the gentlemen hosts team up with the ladies for the hard sell, so obnoxious.

Just a correction on my previous post...it was not a hematite necklace I bought it was black spinel for $29 and it is really nice.

I agree about the male hosts on JTV but the male hosts on QVC are not my favorites either!

I watch occasionally. I do know what you mean, a lot of women hosts do speak in a similar cadence. I've gotten gifts from them for my friend that watches a lot and she's given me gifts from them. I've never bought anything for myself, but we were both pleased with our gifts. They sure have some good prices.

P.S. I have JTV on a lower station near PBS's and a higher station near QVC. QVC is now also on a lower station on DirecTV and three more stations higher up. I'm sure JTV is somewhere on your TV.

Maybe not if she has cable. We satellite customers get a lot more channels.

The thing about JTV is that they are ALL related. What one doe they all do, nails, hair clothes etc.

For the most part I like the hosts as there are no stupid antics going on, they stay seated and sell the product BUT one of the host's, a dumb blond talks so fast and through her nose that I can't understand half of what she is saying. I called the station one time and asked them to please give her a antihistamine and slow her talking down and they told me to stop watching if I did not like her, so I did stop.

WOW!!!! That is something....telling a customer to STOP watching.....amazing!

I think I know the host you are talking about....and she drives me crazy too....if they bring back the Chipmunks cartoon she can be a voice over

But there are some I like....and I felt kind of sorry for one....she encouraged customers to tell her what they thought of their purchases, and even if they were mean she'd still write back.....

If you are ever in Knoxville stop and visit their store. It is small but still contains a lot of merchandise (high and low prices) and the clerks are quite helpful and will spend time with you while you look around. I bought some beautiful emerald earrings for myself at a close out price.

I don't normally watch their TV shows but do visit their website. They have a lot of variety and information on various gems.

I watch JTV quite a bit. I'd rather watch jewelry than most of the shows on the Q these days. I haven't bought a lot, but most of what I've gotten has been really nice for the price. I've bought a few pearl pieces that were kind of hit and miss, but considering the price, I didn't have high expectations. But overall I'm quite happy with what I've kept.

However, I also sometimes struggle with the voices and spiels of the hosts. One in particular I just can hardly understand between her fast speech, and a total lack of enunciation of her words. It's almost like she's got something in her mouth that she's trying to talk through.

I've purchased a few things. Liked some. Sent some back. They seem to have good prices. Their shipping and returns are VERY slow. I dunno if its the weather or what, but it takes forever to get an order from them or to process a return. I actually had to file a claim on one order it was in transit so long. It finally showed up. Beware, they wont credit a lost item until you sign forms and send them back. The Q & HSN (and probably HQ, I don't know) will credit you if an order stays in transit after a certain point. They don't.

I find the station boring to watch for more than a few mins now and then.
