George Simonton and LIz Claiborne and when Susan Graver's "Liquid Knit" had some real body to it and wasn't just a clingy (cheaper) jersey and when Denim & Co had better quality clothing and more consistent sizing. I find I am buying fewer clothes from QVC these days......but I miss it.

I so miss George Simonton also. I used to always look so forward to watching his shows and loved when he appeared on AM Style on Saturday mornings. Would LOVE to see George Simonton back on the Q!!!!!!!

I miss George Simonton also. I also am missing Liz Claiborne maxi dresses this Spring - they were the best.

I miss the fantastic quality and design that Louis Del'Olio brought us when he first started at QVC. I still have some of his beautifully constructed, top quality, natural fibers. I still buy from him but QVC is clearly forbidding him from showing us what he can really do, so that they can keep their costs low and their profits high.

All the old hosts. These new women are obnoxious. They don't appear genuine and they are all too thin. Let's see some normal sized women and perhaps a bit more mature (in age and personality).

I miss the variety of shows and products. And remember what "Fashion Day" used to be, with new designers introduced? That was worth taking a day off and staying home to watch.

Silver Style on Sunday mornings and reasonably-priced gold jewelry. I know gold prices aren't their fault - I miss receiving those little brown envelopes from QVC!

So it's ok for you to say that the new hosts are too thin, but if anyone else says the old hosts are too fat, that's cruel, mean, hurtful or whatever.... Stop with the weight shame comments either way!

What is sold on QVC is just an example of what's going on in the market for ALL retailers. I certainly don't miss seeing items that I used to buy on QVC, but no longer care for, but I miss the overall value for the buck. Not only do I NOT like the latest clothing styles, I absolutely don't like the poor fabric quality that we must accept or do without. Luckily, the older I get the more I want to avoid trends in clothing. Most of what I see looks like walking around draped in a bolt of cheap fabric. No thanks.

That's the thing~! Fashion is trying to tell us that these ultra thin fabrics are trendy and gorgeous. Some of them look wonderful, then you feel them and they are junk.

As an experienced sewer my entire life, THESE are the fabrics that used to be at the back of the store, at reduced pricing because no one bought them! They are even hard to sew on because of how thin they are. i can't stand this kind of fabric and I don't care if it's a synthetic or a natural fiber. I won't buy it either......

I miss that also especially the natural fibers. I find I purchase very little from him anymore. I am not a fan of this lesure line he is promoting. Would love to see him be able to bring the quality back.
