Very sad news from host Sharon Faetsch...

"It is with deep sorrow that I share with you the passing of my mother, Jeanne Faetsch. She was one of the strongest and most passionate people I have ever known, and fiercely loved her family. Over the next couple of weeks, out of respect for my mother, my Facebook page will be dark. I may share moments about my Mom, but I need time to heal. Godspeed, sweet Jeanne. And a wish for a Happy Mothers Day."

My condolences to Sharon.

There is no good time to lose a loved one, but on or close to a widely celebrated holiday does seem to exacerbate the sorrow. Thirty years ago, my mother died the day before Thanksgiving and to this day, I have to look up the exact date when I need to know it. I always associate her death with the holiday no matter when it falls.

Peace and strength are my twin wishes for Sharon today.

My condolences Sharon. We missed you on Logo Saturday. Taking the Time to heal is so Important.. Share as much or as little as you need to for maximum healing. There is no timetable, for each person it's unique.

1947 - 2016 Obituary Condolences

Jeanne Faetsch

Wappingers Falls - Jeanne Marie Faetsch, 69, an area resident since 1971 and formerly of Queens Village, died on May 7, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Queens on March 4, 1947, she was the daughter of George and Florence Goodale Aloy. Jeanne was a devoted wife and mother who loved animals, decorating for the seasons, and watching and feeding the birds in her yard.

On April 27, 1969 in Queens, Jeanne married Gunter "Bob" Faetsch who survives at home. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Langdon; her grandchildren, Kaylee and Desmond; and her brother, Richard Aloy. She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Jeanne, on April 24, 1991.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by a service at 5pm.

It's very sad and today of all days... and a relatively young woman... The loss of anyone dear is always a time of challenge and redefinition... I wish all her family and loved ones the best.

my sincere sympathy to you & your family. i feel so sad for you & your loved ones. in time, the pain will start to subside. although we never, ever forget, it is however the beautiful & loving memories that keep us going on. you & your family are in my thoughts & prayers.

i feel so sorry for all of you. take care of yourself, & i hope you & your family will be able to allow your mother's loving memory help ease the pain.

I am so sorry for you Sharon. I lost my mom in 2013....we were very close and i miss her dearly. But know your moms spirit is with you. And i am sure she was very proud of the person you are.

@millieshops...My mom died around the same time you lost your mom....except my mom died on Easter Sunday and I to, still have to look up the date and year......I only remember Easter Sunday.
