NO MOMS DAY GIFT !!

I am fed up with the Q's rediculously long processing and shipping times. I think I am official done with QVC and it is very sad, at least for Me, Im sure they dont care, considering I have been shopping with them since 1986. I ordered a simple Garden statue for My Mother for Mom's Day on April 28th, it was not even processed through billing until May the 5th and will not arrive until Monday. How convienant, NOT! So does QVC not work weekends anymore ? Is that the deal? I tried to cancle the Order so that I could use the Money to go buy Her something to have on time instead and was told that I could not cancle the order even though it was still processing, and the bank had already dropped the pre auth charges. This is just bad business all the way around. I don't know who they think they are kidding but I for one have had enough. I dont trust QVC anymore . Sorry about the spelling mistakes, typing very hot and furiously.

I think you ordered too late to expect QVC to deliver before Mother's Day.

Even when the hosts say that a product will arrive by a specific day, I wouldn't count on it.

You can still give her the gift, yes, albeit, a little late, but I'm sure that your mother would enjoy it just the same.

A gift shouldn't make or break a day.

The day should be about being with your mom, and enjoying her company.

That's the real gift.

Yes I realize now that I waited to late to order on a whim, I guess I have grown use to the other shopping .coms and how quickly You recieve the Item You ordered. I also noticed the prices on QVC have gone sky high compared to other places, but I still come back and I am slow to learn. Its finally dawning on Me that the Q is nothing like it use to be...:

I think you're right - we have to remember that Q's order processing is much slower than that of other online companies. They ought to provide an expected delivery date when you place an order. And, as for being done with Q, they'll say good-bye and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

So sorry about your gift arriving later than Mom's Day, but I know that the two of you will enjoy the gift of just being together.

I'm having a different issue with Q's delivery. Apparently they are now leaving it up to their warehouse "people" to decide whether to ship via UPS or USPS.

This is a big issue for me, as using the Post Office means at least a couple of extra days in dellivery time, because of the way our local mail is handled. I've had an understanding for over 20 years that my orders were to come UPS. I have talked with them and am told that they can't make that determination anymore, as the warehouse staff makes the final decision. I am now ordering very few things. Unless it's too big for the mailbox, I don't order it anymore. Disgusted.

You are SERIOUSLY missing the point of Mothers Day.

I have no family left. At 47 years old, my whole family were gone. I'm 56 now.

Not easy.

And you're complaining about a gift that won't get there until the following day???

Be happy, be grateful, feel blessed you have your Mom.

Share the day with her. Ask her what she wants to do for the day and do it with her with happiness.

You still have your Mom.

Who cares about a late delivery for a gift??

Loving people and spending time with them is not about materialistic gifts.

If you are there for her and enjoy her company, can laugh, celebrate, tell stories, tell her you love her, you have the greatest Mothers Day right in front of you.

Get your priorities straight.

Seriously? You ordered ridiculously late to expect a gift (ANY gift, from ANY website) to arrive before Mother's Day without paying for very expedited shipping.

You have NOTHING to complain about except your own poor judgment.

I'm sorry you didn't receive your statue. For something like that, I think 4/28 was too late to order and expect it to arrive before Mother's Day. Any one who has been shopping at Q knows their shipping is pony express slow.

The gift was ordered nine (9) calendar days ago.

If one takes in to account only business days, the item had only five (5) days to move.

It is beyond ridiculous to expect any item, from any retailer to get to its final destination, without paying a hefty overnight fee.

I disagree,many places I order from arrive the next day at no extra cost to me, sometimes if I order at midnite ,it may be here in the morning,.I can hardly understand how they do it so fast,but I love it. QVC is the ONLY place I order from that takes two weeks or more to arrive here in northern NJ

Yes, I know that there are those exceptions where people get their items five minutes after compleating their transactions.

Even with Prime, it takes me 2 - 3 days before I see my stuff.

That's normal.

I'm in SoCal and forget I've even ordered when something arrives. It's usually ten days to two weeks easy before I get an order. 3 days from HSN.

Ive just learned never to order last minute. It won't be here.

Enjoy the day with no gift. I'd give the world to be able to spend the day with my Mom. Miss her terribly.

While I agree with the OP that QVC is nothing like it used to be, I also agree with those who question the purchase of a gift on the 28th with any expectation that it would necessarily be delivered and available by the 8th...

I know it's upsetting to have your heart set on giving a gift and then it doesn't come in time for the occasion....I learned a long time ago not to order anything from the Q and expect it to arrive within 10 days of when I placed the order.

From my own experiences, there is no rhyme or reason to the amount of time it takes for me to receive an order. Sometimes my orders come within a week to my surprise, other times it takes 10 days or more. I live in upstate NY and receive packages from their mail centers in PA and many times it does take 7 to 10 days. I've learned that if I want to order a gif t for someone, I make sure I have at least two weeks leeway.

I agree with the other posters who said you should just enjoy the day with your mom...if she had to choose between time spent with you and the gift, I bet she would pick you! And if you tell her the problem, I'm sure she will totally understand...and still appreciate the gift when she does receive it!! Remember the saying "it's the thought that counts!"

I order alot of things online and some places spoil you with their fast shipping.QVC most times, takes a long time and you have to figure that in when ordering.......but I wish they would tell you in their presentations that you will get it by the Holiday.

Print a picture of the statue and put it in the card for your Mom. I am sure she will understand. You can pick up a small perrienal to add or to go with the statue to give her today if you don't want to go to see her empty handed.......

It took you since 1986 to figure out? Sorry but Q has always had bizarre shipping times. Sometimes I swear it ships before I'm done ordering and sometimes I wait up to 10 days.

YES! That is what has ME bugged, it's not so much the slow processing or that I have no gift but that I checked when the delivery date would be and it should have arrived on Thursday but since it did not process until to late, so late the pre auth was dropped from the bank, it did not ship in time to meet the delivery date.

I woul also like to add that some of You people are really snarky with Your comments. My point was not so much that I did not get a gift in time, Im not that shallow or stupid to think that is what Mothers Day is about, give Me a break. My point is that QVC is not reliable anymore on its delivery. whatever.
