turn off emails "your question has been answered"

How do you turn off this feature? I get emails about answers and the answers have conflicting information and I want to stop them. It isn't helpful. I'm getting the feeling that there are people who read the questions and answers and then post a reply that directly and deliberately contradicts other answers. I suppose it keeps them entertained. But, then, I once knew a person who called me because she "knew" I was watching a particular show and "just wanted to annoy" me, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to see her doing this on a chat board. She no longer calls me.

Sorry to hear about your issues. This website seems to have all sorts of issues. I never receive emails when my question is answered; so problem is just the opposite.

Not sure how much tech support would help, since things never seem to get resolved here.

You get e-mails about answers to your questions on this board?? I've never gotten e-mails like that. I didn't think they sent out e-mails relating to this board. Are you sure you aren't getting the e-mails about questions you've asked on a different message board?

As part of the product information, there is a feature that allows you to post a questions. Anyone who is a member of QVC can ask and/or answer questions about the product. My last question concerned purse RFID in a purse. There were 3 responses: 2 said just the credit card slots were protected. One said it was the whole purse. I don't want any more answers but don't know how to stop the emails telling me there has been a response. There doesn't seem to be any way to stop this.

If you're speaking of the questions and answers on the product page, there probably isn't a way to stop people responding. Once a question is asked there it's "public" on QVC and they assume it's a question others who wander by might want to know as well, so it's not limited to "you."

Treat it as any other junk mail...delete and don't read them. People shouldn't answer questions unless they absolutely know the correct answer.

I want QVC to stop sending ME the emails. I don't really care if anyone else responds to the question. I never realized what a challenge this would be. Or how people could misinterpret my post. Amazing!

@excpa--- I think at the bottom of all e-mails we receive there is a spot that says "unsubscribe from emails". Hit that button and see what happens. Otherwise I sugest you make email from QVC Spam or trash and that will put any emailminto one of those sections. Sometimes I read all my email, regular and spam, sometimes just my regular and empty SPAM and TRASH w/o going into it. I hope this helps you a little bit and this is what you were refering to.--------tedEbear

Hello, excpa and welcome.

Do you mean the question and answer section on the QVC products? If so, don't know how to turn that off. Perhaps a moderator might be able to help you. If not, you can always mark it as spam.

Personally, if I didn't want alerts to answers about a product that I had posted a question about, I would just not ever pose a question again. And really, just delete the e-mails. There can't possible be more than regular spam.

But it's your theory that someone or some people are deliberately posting contradictory answer, along with the two sentences that I bolded, that really confound me.

I doubt anyone is conspiring against you. You, just like the rest of us, are simply not that important.

After asking a question, I decided to order the blouse before it sold out, then received an onslaught of email answers, which was very kind. So I figured answering the question myself would put an end to it, but it hasn't. But I appreciate the people who took the time to answer!

What amuses me is there are a bunch of old questions I've had that went unanswered, and after I answer a question, or write a review, qvc asks ME my own questions!

Once you've filled in your question, then uncheck the box directly under your question (see wording below). I don't know whether you can go back to questions you've already posted.

Please send me an email when my question is answered.
