Could someone please eplain to me what " Billing information received" means

When I order something from QVC I receive an email that my order has shipped. When I then check order status it says "bIlling Information received" under track shipment.

What does that mean? Has it left the warehouse or not?

It means the shipping information has been sent to the carrier. I.e. UPS/USPS.

The reason I asked this question is because I ordered a Vera bag to be shipped to Texas as a birthday present that is mid Feb.It is exclusive to QVC. With the storm coming I ordered it mid day on 1/21.

It says "Billing Information received" under order status, this morning 1/24. I am just curious if it got out and on the road or not.

I am sure QVC is having a very difficult time right now getting orders out.

It means the package has been labeled and is sitting in a truck waitng to be picked up

In theory, yes. Sometimes though the tracking information doesn't get updated and it goes from information received to out for delivery. I seem to think this happens more with USPS. So what I'm saying is the tracking information isn't always 100% accurate. If I see something in information received status for like four days, I find it's coming USPS and the tracking isn't updated.

If there is a tracking number, you can copy and paste it into google.

The shipper (USPS?) will allow you to create notifications by text or email for updates.

It has been my experience that the package seems to arrive more quickly once I do this.

Thank you fro your replies. I got an update. It is going by UPS and is on the way to a UPS facility in VA. Hard to believe it is on it's way with the terrible storm.

It meant the order has gone from sales, to accounting, to the warehouse for shipment, where I used to work.

Much to my surprise the package made it to Texas and was delivered yesterday 1/26, storm and all. Good job, Q.
