Vendor Accomodations at QVC

In tonight's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna traveled to PA to do her show at QVC, and showed that her hotel, while staying in the area, was a Sheraton. It looked awful! I was surprised, because years ago, my aunt (who lives in that area), has a friend who's son was a chef at a local restaurant, and he used to serve Joan Rivers. I remember my aunt telling me that he said that Joan used to stay at a very lovely Inn in the area. So, it surprises me that they'd put Lisa Rinna in a Sheraton. I would have guessed that higher profile vendors would be treated better, but maybe that was "back in the day." I'm curious if anyone has more info on this.

Joan probably paid for her stay at 'the Inn'. I'm just trying to figure out what 'Inn' that would be.

I have a sister that lives in the area and we've seen vendors (and hosts) at nice restaurants around there.

I'm pretty sure vendors would have to pay for their own meals.

maybe some vendors stay at THE DESMOND?

maybe the sheraton is closer to qvc or to the airport so that lisa can make a quick getaway?

joan would stay for a few days sometimes because there were so many show scheduled. i am not sure if lisa has ever been on more than a day.

I too am from the area. I know several vendors such as Chaz have purchased homes in the area.

Lori Goldstein did too - I read an article about it. Good thing for her since Q keeps giving her more shows to do!

Up until 15 - 20 years ago, QVC guests always stayed at the Sheraton Great Valley Hotel in Frazer. Since then, I'm not sure. Maybe some, like Lisa, still go to the Sheraton but I wouldn't be surprised if others stay at the The Desmond Hotel in Malvern. It's newer and much nicer. Maybe The Desmond was booked so Lisa went to the Sheraton.

I believe when we had the bad snow last winter all of the crew and hosts stayed at the Sheraton Hotel. Maybe they give the Q a special rate.

I think the Breezie ladies have a house as well. They are not on very much these days, a few times a year.

Some of those who are on often and those who are more or less permanent vendor reps seem to have a place of their own nearby.

It could be that vendors are on their own to arrange accommodations or it could be that QVC gives them a set amount per appearance and they can stay wherever they choose.

I have no idea but I would tend to agree with stevieb. They are not 'guests' of QVC but there to make money. QVC probably supplies discount accomodations arrangements but I bet the vendor pays for it. Ditto for meals and transportation.

It must be a nice area to live since so many vendors end up moving there ( maybe second homes?).

I tend to think that QVC pays for their vendors hotel rooms. They probably have negotiated a nice price at several nearby properties and the guests can stay at whichever one has availability...They probably pay for their own meals though. I work for a Fortune 500 company and when we bring people in for interviews or meetings, the company pays their hotel stay and for their rental car/ or shuttle, and we have negotiated rates at various hotels, that offer quite the discount since we know we will use the rooms X amount times per year. The guests then are responsible for their own meals....

I know Tova bought a golf course view home in PA a few years ago. But I don't think she's on QVC that much any more.

I guess she just liked the area. It's very pretty, that part of the county. Hills and farms, very lush.

I heard Cameron from Halston state that he was sleeping on a couch at the studio during his 2:00 am show this morning. It must be so as I just saw him on am style and he had on the same clothing.

It seems like if a vendor has a TSV they would have a little studio on the premises. Things can happen if they keep going back to the hotel room. ( late, etc.)

Don't know about Renee Greenstein having a home in PA because is always posting photos on IG of her husband driving her back and forth to Q from their NY home.

Jeanne Bice use to stay at the Desmond, from their website looks like a nice hotel.

@BEUTIFL- I would think they could do a little better for Cameron but he seemed good natured about it. He is easy going and fun but still.....

I believe Angel and her new hubbie live in PA and always have -- since she was originally a Q model before Jeanne discovered her.
