Things that used to be sold ALL the time on-air but not so much any more:

Capodimonte porcelain tchotchkes (many, many years ago)

Marcasite jewelry

Wii game systems

OMG, I'm really getting nostalgic reading about all the old shows, products and former hosts. I fondly remember all this stuff, and a few things that I don't think anyone else has mentioned:

-- Erwin Pearl - Gracious older gentleman who had a line of beautiful high-end costume jewelry (I still have some pieces)

-- Disney collectibles - One of these shows was Lisa Robertson's first solo hosting gig, if I remember correctly

-- Show host Donna Harfenist - VERY knowledgeable about jewelry and and ignited my passion for gems. I believe she came from a family in the gem business and was a graduate gemologist herself

-- Treasures from the Sea shows - Featured items (mostly jewelry) made with pearls, coral, shells, etc. My first Q purchase was a necklace with pearls and peridot, amethyst, and citrine chip beads

Oh, yes, I remember all these! What a fun thread! And it makes me remember that I used to sit and watch QVC rather than just have it on for background noise. Anybody remember the Bee Alive lady? The Jessica Holbrook line? And not so long ago, the crab cake people; they were on all the time! Imperial Gold! How I wish I could have afforded to buy a piece then! I remember a gold necklace that came to a point in the front that I wanted SO bad. Wonder how much it would cost today?

I saw Royal Doulton china on ShopHQ not too long ago. Is Imperial Gold still around? Cant imagine what they'd cost now. Wonder if they honor their lifetime guarantee if they went out of business? (LOL)...

I was looking all over the house last night for that "red light thing" as I had a cramp in my leg! Could not find it, but I remember it really worked! Also loved Yves Rocher.

LOL! It seemed like QVC sold that thing almost daily for awhile......

Yes, I do! She was often on with Bob Bowersox. She was and odd one. She'd get teary eyed when she talked about it. It was an autoship product for quite awhile. I think the Q had to discontinue it due to food and drug legal matters.....Unsure if its still around. I know they used to have an 800 number......

Just the nostalgia and the fun and laughter of walking down memory lane has been so

refreshing for me, and I am sure for others.

I would love to see more of this great conversation style forum, and less host and product bashing.

There was a class action lawsuit. After QVC she did go to some other shows and also had an infomercial. Haven't seen her for years now.

I don't think Imperial Gold is still around. Glad I bought some pieces as they are beautiful and couldn't buy them now. Re: Memories--Hydron--""Harvey Hydron""--started with lotion usually presented by Bob B. or Kathy Levine and later had full skincare line which was great. I bought a lot of it. All of a sudden it was gone and then turned up on HSN for a while with a different rep. Hydron may still have a website.

Lee Sands--QVC's first vendor. I think he is leaving or has left. Years ago he had at least one TSV a year, but no more. (usually before the holidays) His jewelry was very nice and his eelskin wallets and handbags sold well.

I thought there was some legal issue with it. It was an expensive product too. I haven't seen her around either since those days.......

Yes, I remember Hydron. And that cowhide in water thing. (LOL) It was big on QVC for awhile, then they dropped it. I used it too!
