The new program was introduced last week. Anyone out there a WW member?

My points are a little more now, weekly extra points have shrunk, and I've noticed

a lot of foods have increased in points values.

Anyone out there tried the Simply Filling plan that has stayed the same?

I enjoy the WW program, our leader, the people who come regularly--it is

something I need. I have lost a little over 50 lbs., but I am a little

in a rut now and not losing so well. I'm taking the attitude that it is good that

I have not been gaining during this difficult time of the year. I would like to lose another

20 lbs.

There is more emphasis on being active, and I know I could work on that. I go to the gym 3 times a week.

I am a WW member, and to me the Smart Points is going to be a good thing. I think taking the sugars and saturated fat in the points will steer us into healthier food choices. That is what I am seeing. I did try Simply Filling which is still an option to WW members. I did not do well on it, because I ate too much. The idea of eating Power Foods sounded good, but I prefer more structure.

Good luck, and best wishes for a successful eating plan in 2016 to all.

Here I am, from Ohio. I am a Ww lifer member. But I have fallen into illnesses and put on the weight unfortunately. I am on a ton of medication. Lost my grandso and my daughter within 4 moths of each other. I ate my stress, of course. I need to get some of this off I say some because my movement is limited but with hope as I lose maybe I'll move a little more, we'll see. You ladies talked about two different programs that I'm not familiar with. I went to a meeting a few months ago I don't recall a mention of what you said.

Anyway I think I may like the idea of the sugar and fat deal. I didn't like that you could eat unlimited fruit/ veggie. I could gain eating carrots. So I couldn't understand who wrote that!!!!""

Higher points on some things, well we'll see.

I lost my weight when it was soooooo strict all you could eat was a lot of fish and salads. I got very thin looking. That was 35 years ago. Meetings were busy. Not anymore. It's just as hard for me to pay then as it is now. I've never had it easy in my life. So one just has to make grave sacrifices in life and I had my young children then.

Well, ladies and gents, let's keep in touch. Weight w is the best, one just has to keep moving while they eat properly. Do your very best, you'll be fine, it isn't a race.

The jury is still out on the new plan for me. I feel I am being punished with higher points because I want a cookie. I guess it makes me think more about if it's worth the points before I eat it. I've only been doing it a week or two. I think I like it better than the points plus. I never seemed to loose anything on that one.

I think it's fantastic. I did it back in '97 after my first was born and then again in 2006 after my last... I have all the info from both times and have to say: about time WW saw the light about nutrition and the science behind protein vs saturated fat and sugar.

I rejoined after food became my drug after a serious accident forever changed the life of one of my children; it could have been booze that I turned to but it was food. I ate "clean" for years prior the weight gain so this plan is easy for me to follow.

I'm a lifetime Weight Watchers member, having lost 108 pounds 35 years ago. I have the option of sticking to the plan I want. My favorite was the basic points plan of several years ago, before the free fruits came into being. I continue to attend meetings regularly for the support and comraderie but continue to follow the plan that has worked best for me. I attended the meeting last week where the new plan was introduced and, like all WW plans, it looks fine but I'm sticking with what works for me. One of the women I've known for many years did raise a point, however. For those who are not computer literate, this new plan may not seem particularly friendly. You have to buy books or a special calculator to compute points values if you don't subscribe to online apps. In the old days, when you joined, you were given a special gizmo to figure out points values. WW is trying to catch up with technology. I hope this helps them.
