If you have a Q Card and want to access your statement online.

Many customers chose to not have paper statements, since they were going to start charging $3 a month.

I’m guessing that you don’t have a Q card.

I alread know they charge for paper statements.

From your post I thought perhaps Synchrony was now going to charge you to pay if you accessed them through the QVC link.

Oh darn. I did not realize QVC cards go through Synchrony. I have one card that goes through them and I do not like their online statements. I was thinking of signing up for a Q card but now I won't.

Actually the online statements that are for the QCard are AWESOME !!!

They show the Item name, Number and # of Easy Pays.

I wish my other credit card I use for cash back did that for my QVC purchases.

They only show the Order #, so I have to manually type in the Order Status search bar to figure out what the item is. Time consuming. 😝

I have never gone through QVC to pay my Q Card. When I get the email, I click through that and go right to Synchrony. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is why I always go through QVC…

You have to be careful opening emails these days.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell the real ones from the fake ones.

What might look like your credit card company, bank, etc etc could be someone after your account info.

In fact we had one that looked exactly like our banks recently. It was about fraudulent activity that occurred. Called the bank and found out it was a scam email looking for personal account info. and they we’re glad we didn’t open it.

I plan on going directly to Synchrony at the above address going forward.

Actually take that back ! My Husband went down in person to the bank about the email claiming there was fraudulent activity on our bank account.

He was that upset about it.

We have security notifications set up to protect us from someone tapping in to our accounts, so he didn’t take the email lightly.

@RescueLover - I always go directly to my Synchrony account to view statements and make payments online. If you have not recently logged into the Synchrony website, a few changes have been made this year requiring stronger passwords, and they rolled out an updated user experience approach that resulted in a new URL/link for the site (this allows cardholders to use a single login even if they have multiple Synchrony-issued cards). I'm guessing this is the reason for the message you saw.

Try going to id.synchrony.com/idp/en/standard/registration to make sure your account has been fully registered in the new system setup. (There is an FAQ link on this page if you want to learn more about the updates.) You will be guided to either register using the new login requirements or to simply log in (and possibly update your password) after you confirm your account number. It sounds like you use the site fairly regularly, so everything will probably look the same after you've logged in; if you have multiple Synchrony accounts, you will see a couple of differences, but the navigation continues to be simple and offers a few enhancements to easily access your account details.

This is all completely legitimate, was advertised well in advance of the updates, and has been in place for several months. If you have any questions, post here, and I'll be happy to help if I can. Good luck!

@geezerette I had a Stein Mart MasterCard that was with Synchrony. Stein Mart closed and the card was still valid. I continued to use it for gas, groceries, etc. just as I had before. When it expired a year or so later, the new card no longer said Stein Mart of course. But it was my same account. I've never had issues or problems with Synchrony - maybe because I never carry a balance, I don't know. I just make my payment online every month and have no other interactions with Synchrony.

The QCard is a store card--only valid for purchases on QVC and HSN. So if they no longer exist the QCard has no use.
